One time someone peeved me off so much that I took my dongle out of the computer and told someone to lock it in a safe until I calmed down! When I felt better I returned to the world of the internet and the subject had died down and no one even remembered why I ran off in the first place! So yes, I do get angry, upset about replies!

The more you give of yourself, the more likely it is to happen. I also felt this way until this past spring when I've decided not to start threads about things that are touchy subjects. I've learned just by being on WP, not to start threads asking personal questions about myself, if I don't want to deal with the unpredictable answers. I don't start any threads asking about my obsessions anymore, because I was roasted very badly at the beginning at the Easter weekend this year. I start threads that aren't so personal anymore. I've also learned that when I make a thread in The Haven, I might not get the responses that I would like, because there are a lot of people here who can't relate to a lot of the issues that I do have and than I start to feel anxious and scared. I've also learned that if I want to post about my top special interest, it's better to just do it than it is to start threads with titles such as, "Fatten Up A Random Celebrity", "Earth Aliens" or "Who Is Your Favourite IMVU Girl?". I'm sure that my real friends on WP would rather see a post that mentions The Kinks instead of logging in to see a stupid thread with one of those titles, started by Your's Truly. I've learned a lot of things by being on WP.

People's general ignorance doesn't annoy me so much any more because I've accepted that I can be ignorant about a lot of things. If someone criticises my ideas, it does upset me a little but I can take it better now than I used to.

I'm scared of being misinterpreted because people don't always listen to your explanations of what you really meant to say. Plus, I often say things that end up having connotations that I don't want. So I re-edit my posts for that reason and because I'm a big grammar/spelling pedant.

Personal attacks out of nowhere really upset me but thankfully, they are rare and not always meant seriously.

Being insulted doesn't affect me. An insult expresses an observation, either valid (in which case it is welcome) or invalid (in which case it is meaningless). Either way, there is no reason to become angry or upset.

EDIT: I should mention that the same is true of compliments.

EDIT: I meant that as a lighthearted joke.

Apologise for blanking me and you'll reduce the number of people in conflict with you by one.

I have thought of a better idea. Pretend that you are trolling when you make a post so that way when you get rude responses, you won't take it as bad because you are pretending those were the responses you were looking for. You won't be taking them seriously. I really need to try this myself.
