Yeah same, I cant stand that feeling so i chew mine back or file them. which is a feeling that took a lot to get use to too....

I'm double-jointed, too. I don't think I have any other physical abnormalities, though.

I visited my regular doc about something and he was examining my throat. He said, 'I don't recall you having your tonsils removed'. I said, 'I haven't'. He said, 'Well, you don't have any, or they are so small that I can't find them.'

I too have very strong bones and have never broken anything, although the opportunity has arisen more than once, especially as I fall over my own feet. Their density and my large muscle mass probably account for my weight (I take a UK size 10, but weigh 154 lbs). I was being fitted for a corset yesterday and the lady told me I was one of the tiniest customers she'd ever had, which is strange as I'm at least 20lbs overweight, according to my BMI.

And I have a high arched palate (it's fully formed), or so my orthodontist told me.

My hair, nails and skin grow quicker than most people's (need to exfoliate a lot or I get ingrown hairs).

I also have a weird anomaly, which is fairly rare. I was born with a hole in the skin at the base of my spine. I've recently discovered (from watching a medical programme) that this is the remnants from where our ancestors had tails.

But, I'm not double jointed, in fact my joints are naturally quite stiff and only supple because I do Zumba.

Thank you for thanking me. Sorry I had a momentary hissy fit.

i have really strong nails, good hair and 20/20 vision. I've been to the dentist twice in my life I've only lost one tooth and never had any fillings. I very rarely get ill and never seriously and I too have a really low pulse rate and I'm at the low side of normal blood pressure. I just thought it was down to healthy living though and I drink gallons of water.

No... I have optic nerve hypoplasia and grey matter brain heterotopias (mild dysplasia), but my joints and the rest of me are normal. No genetic abnormalities, either.

I met somebody with kleinfelter's and asperger's diagnosis a few weeks ago. But my guess is Asperger's doesn't have a single cause, it's not a single thing.

Gosh, WP has turned me into a hypercondriac! So everything on me is related to having AS, even though I don't physically look no different to anyone else?

I have extremely resilient bones. Have never broken anything, despite repeated physical trauma. Once fell 30 feet out of a tree, landed on my wrist, on a root, and didn't break anything.

I am a very fast healer. Approximately 2x "normal" in healing cuts, bruises, and sprains.

However, my skin is pliant and will cut easily on strange objects, like shelving.

Yes, have "sandal toe," and the related "trigger finger."

However much muscle I build, I stay the same size. It becomes denser, wiry, "corded," but does not increase size.

I have a backwards tooth. :(

Was born with severe congenital astigmatism (misshapen corneas).

Every person has their own unique physical trait. No two people are the same, physically and mentally. All the random physical ''differences'' are not exclusively Aspie differences. There's no such thing. Physical difference like what Down's Syndrome people have are notable, and are listed in every piece of information about Down's Syndrome you can find, but I've never spotted any physical differences in Autism whenever I read anything about it. It always says about how the Autistic mind works and how Autistics can give off an expression on the outside, but that's all to do with the mind - no actual physical differences at all.

I was always told, ever since the day I was diagnosed, that AS does not involve having any notable physical feature. I got my middle finger measured for a ring last year, but I didn't look at the measured size and think, ''oh that's because I have AS''. What's the point in that? I just thought, ''yep, that sounds about right for my fingers.''

The other day at work some of the other workers there were talking about how far they can bend their fingers back, and some could do it and some couldn't. And I know a woman who had a nasty accident on a motorbike but didn't break a bone, even though by looking at the way she came off her motorbike you would've assumed she'd die.

NTs aren't like chocolate that is each moulded into the exact same shape.

One thing that does seem to have emerged is a greater bone strength. This is completely unscientific, I was just curious, one of the Aspie things that sidetrack our thoughts...

Hmm I did finally get just a hairline fracture in my arm but it took being in a truck blown over in a storm to do it.

I can also force this weird pop sound to happen in my knuckles. It's not how you normally think of cracking your knuckles. I keep the finger straight but bend the finger tip, then bend the rest of the finger and something releases and you can hear it.

Occasionally if I'm totally annoyed or irritated I snap my fingers in both hands all at the same, except for the pinky fingers, and it freaks people out. I can do this about 20 times or so in a row.

Well I know I always used to hate P.E class because I could not do most of the activities as easily as other kids....like I am pretty inflexable so I even sucked at the stretches and stuff. So yeah it seems like I have some minor physical issues, but I have no idea if it has anything to do to the AS......It could also have a lot to do with the lack of energy associated with depression and maybe the anxiety has something to do with me always feeling tense and thus having trouble with activities involving flexible body movements.

I can't really stretch too, but I don't think it has anything to do with as...
When I was small I used to rotate my toe, it makes a clicking sound and turns 360degrees. But after my 8 or 9th birthday I lost that ability. I heal very, very fast too, but again, I think that had nothing to do with Asperger's.

Didn't know Ant and Dec had Asperger Syndrome......
