Yeah, that's a lesson I either picked up on before I even started school or understood instinctively, probably due to my anxiousness. Never let anyone know if something bothers me, it'll just set me up as a target.
Of course there is no way I would ever confront anyone who was armed or a gang of thugs or just one thug at all either. I would hide if I could, leave if I could, I would not engage them or get involved otherwise.

Danger, anything new, things I can't control, they all scare me in different ways.
