I think I was about average, but I was tall by 9, I hit puberty pretty early, at around 11 my voice changed and I got body hair, I could grow a full beard by 13 and I already had lots of chest hair, I didn't grow anymore after 12. I'm 5'2", I'm 30 now, my proportions are kind of small too, I'm a couple inches shorter than my friend's 11-year-old nephew, and he has no signs of puberty what so ever lol, yeah I'm short for a guy lol it doesn't bother me though!

I entered puberty early and ended up being one of the tallest guys in my class when I finished primary school. Then I stopped growing soon afterwards, and by the time I finished high school I was one of the shortest in my grade. I'm about 1.72 m (about 5 ft 7 in) now, so I'm shorter than average.

I was tall for my age, and skinny, and I think I got to my present height (5'5") when I was around 14 or so (can't remember exactly). The doctor even told my parents I was growing (in height) too fast.

I was always closer to average when I was younger; by 6th grade, I was about the 3rd to 5th shortest, and I was 4 foot 6.

I was 4 foot 9 at 13, 4 foot 11.5 at 14, 5 foot 2 at 15, and my present height, 5 foot 4.75 at age 17.

Hey, man. Welcome to WrongPlanet. :)

I wish I were average, but for an adult guy where I'm from average is actually 1.78 m (about 5 ft 10 in). I'm noticeably shorter than most people walking around. Not that I really mind. 5'2" would be even shorter still, but I'm glad you're comfortable enough with it.

I was always over average but still fitting within the average range.
I remember sport classes in my late elementary school. They was telling us to stand in a line by height. I was always 4-5th the tallest from the 15 girls in my class. So 20-27% of them were taller than me.

Thanks :)
I live in the U.S, the average height for adult males here is 5'9" I think. I'm the shortest adult male I know, all my friends tower over me! I know a woman my height though when she isn't wearing heels

I was taller than pretty much everybody my age. My friend was also pretty much the same height as me and until we were about 12 we were taller than everybody in our year then everybody caught up but I'm still reasonably tall but more average now.

I was always tall for my age, and ended up being 5'9". It makes me feel even more awkward and unfeminine around other women (than my clumsiness, introversion and lack of social skills alone would).

during puberty: short

growth spurts don't happen at 22 years old, do they?
