Hmm...that is odd so not having an address can be considered a crime?

A misdemeanor and I am not sure if it is everywhere and since the homeless population has exploded here, maybe it isn't as strictly enforced downtown these days. The cops do not want homeless hanging around posh neighborhoods so as long as they stay downtown, they might not get arrested for it.

I don't think its the case where I live, and yes posh people typically like to remain inside of their posh bubbles ignoring all the problems the world faces....but to each their own.

I always get on well with the homeless. I went to a bar recently which is frequented mostly by homeless alcoholics and they even bought me drinks! I have dated a homeless guy, I took him home, bathed him, found him clothes. and he started living with me and my mother. (I was 17-18 then). He was super intelligent, and was like a pre-internet wikipedia on legs. At some point though, he started drinking very heavily and he turned schitzophrenic,(sp) so I found his parents in Scotland, my mom bought him a ticket, and then I shipped him off back to Perth. I have found him online recently, he doesn't know it-I saw his FB, and he is still living in Scotland, in a mental hospital type facility and he seems to be doing fine I guess.
I am afraid I might end up in a homeless shelter and I don't want to and I don't want to lose my cat and my teddy bears in the process though.
homeless shelters cant be that aspie friendly, if you have no privacy and have to be around many people surrounding you. that can be very distressing.
the people might be friendly, though, because many of them could be in that situation because they're schizophrenic or bi polar. i found i can bond much better with people who aren't "normal", like schizophrenics, ret*d people and other aspies. i just feel a bond with them, plus i feel more comfortable, and they're much nicer to me.
regular people usually ignore, bully or simply hate me. i've met two schizophrenic people, a man and a woman, in my ex job, and they seemed to like me and were very nice. once my parents took me to their friends house for dinner and there was this ret*d man there. i didnt even know i had asperger syndrome back then, but liked him right away, and he liked me on first sight, too, as if he sensed something... the others ignored me and talked to my sister and brother as if i was invisible.
i also get along better with unusual people, quirky people, and they are drawn to me.
