Well don't you notice a pattern.

Score 1 for one side. Score 1 for the other side.

Male = ignore, call you silly, teenage hormones.
Female = upset, harass and irritate.

Or insert whatever.

Oh god I hate it when they do this. I was walking through some footpath with my sister earlier today and she had mud all over her legs and was wearing shorts (she looked like she was a character during the climax of an adventure film she was that messy.) Some lad with his friends shouted "YOU'VE GOT MUD ON YOUR FEET!!" And she said "yeah so what???" so the boy let out a weird roar that was like "WHEEEEY" AND "RAAAAAR". Weird person.

They are trying to get your attention. Nothing any more insidious than that. It isn't met to turn anyone on... it's meant to be a method of attracting your attention when they have no other way of doing so. If they do not know you, and they get your attention, they may create an 'opening' to engage. Extremely common in the young - the pre-singles bar method of trying to date a pretty girl.

It's a backwards complement of sorts. Immature, really. Teenage boys aren't the most suave or classy creatures what with all those hormones...

You can't let it bother you, it's only going to drive them to keep doing it to see you freak out. I turn it all into a fun hallway game, so it amuses both sides rather than me getting all upset over it.

I am 33 and get the same thing. I get picked on by teenage boys and these days even teenage girls. I have been picked on for years and know that it is probably because I am not attractive, or I walk weird or look weird. As much as I try to look normal it is like they can pick up some sixth sense. It is years of this is why I am afraid of places where teenagers often frequent or if I see a group of them, I leave.

Because they haven't quite grown out of the "pulling hair and snapping bra straps" method of getting the attention of girls they like.

I've experienced similar behaviors. They do it because they are simply immature. It's a big inside joke to them and they have to laugh about it and laugh and laugh and laugh again. It's almost like they have no joy in their lives or are so stressed out, one, they need an outlet to release it. Sometimes, it is through immature behavior. It is annoying when they act like that. It makes you appreciate the ones who don't a heck of a lot more.

I am 16 an every day i go to school i have to wear a skirt due to of the dress coad... Every day i go to school the boys set up fans next to my classes so when I go in my skirt gose up and my underwear shows, but the worst part was when i wore a pink wet suit for diving lesions and a boy put an exter air tank to me except when I went to 20 feet i turned on my secount air tank and i went up to the surface as a big pink ball i was stuck on the lack for 4 hours. Then since that day a boy looks at me and i have a crush on him but I think he loves me. So should I make the first move or should he?
