Can a person with an ASD be "spontaneous"?

I have to read it now properly, so I will need some time.

Within KNOWN limits, I can be. Such as being witty being the class clown in HS (for a couple of teachers). Or doing something that excites me & does not conflict with something scheduled. Like going diving/hiking/caving on a vacation. Of course, that is not really, because I expected to do something LIKE that to begin with.
Well, I have tried before, but I always, ALWAYS seem to get in trouble. One time, I jumped over a railing at an LSU Basketball game to impress my date. She WAS NOT. Though her friends thought it was cute at least.
Or showing up at my girlfriend's house, unasked.
Perhaps these are more impulsive?
