'Alien Observer' by Grouper sounds like an autism anthem to me. Amazing!
'Whitewash' by Buckethead. Very well named song about the pain of losing his mother. There's a live version of it on YouTube just under the title BUCKETHEAD that really does feel like it washes my mind clean with light.
There's a young Australian/Irish aspie called Rohan who puts his songs on YouTube. His song 'Times Like These' is a pretty good aspie anthem I can relate to.

If I'm listening to any of these songs on repeat non-stop, there's a good chance that I'm having a rough day...

Move Along - All American Rejects
Kids, Future Reflections - MGMT
Young Blood - The Naked and the Famous
Survival - Way Out West
Fireflies, On the Wing, West Coast Friendship, Dreams Don't Turn to Dust - Owl City

For avoiding sensory overload:
Dunkelwerk: "die sechste Armee" and "gegen die Flak." (Dark ambiant electro music)
das Ich "der achte Tag"
Front 242 "Sacrifice"

For being PO-ed:
Grendel: "The Judged Ones," "Crucify," or "Grendel."
:wumpscut: "Krieg"
Aghast View: "Burst into Crossfire" and "Truthlike"

For motivation when working on a large project:
Any of the aforementioned and any fast-paced industrial music.

I like "wir sind wir" and "die Flut" (a very nice collaborative effort with Joachim Witt)

This song justifies the fact that I'm at peace with my AS and that curbies can't bring me down, because I won't let them.

Now that I've found out how to embed a video in one of these posts, I might as well put up one that has that Amy Ray song I originally mentioned. The video is from 2008. You have to sit through a bit of interviewing first to hear the song, but I really like this version. The song starts at about 2:50. You can hear the words pretty well, and the atmosphere is easy to deal with. I think "She's Got to Be" really captures the contradictions and uneasiness I sometimes feel about this process I'm currently going through, as well as my making peace with the whole thing as I go along. I also tend to believe she and I have a similar concept of our own gender, so it's nice that this song can address both issues for me.

The interview is also a nice one.

Not necessarily coping with being on the spectrum, but just coping in general. Been listening mostly to the Red Hot Chili Peppers lately. These are probably the ones I like most:

Under the bridge
Dosed
I could die for you
The zephyr song
Otherside
Soul to squeeze
Brendan's death song

Of course, the Talking Heads are also quite good:

This must be the place
Once in a lifetime
Heaven

And she was

Then finally there's the Beatles:

Golden slumbers/Carry that weight/The end
You never give me your money
Let it be
Hey Jude

There are a ton of other bands I like, but these three are the ones I feel have put most meaning into their songs.
