I used to have problems with people speaking fast French, especially on the telephone. However, as I've gained more practice I can usually follow conversations irrespective of how fast they talk. I can even cope with fast talking TV adverts now. What does throw me are regional accents. I'm fine with clearly spoken French, but I sometimes have difficulty following interviews on TV with older people in little French villages.

I still have problems with genders though. I find it very hard to attach a masculine or feminine to nouns.

I'm better at my first language (french) that my second one (english). Though I'm not very good at french written grammar. (It's complex)
