Dogs with loud barks, bells that have no warning of when they're going to ring, smoke alarms that are so ear-piercing, sirens suddenly switching on as they pass in the street, builders banging and crashing on roofs or scaffolding, plates clanging together, cars bibbing/immature tossers screaming things out car windows at me (I put them into their place by sticking my fingers up, because even if it's a compliment I still can't be bothered with that crap, if somebody likes me I like them to act on it in a mature way, screaming at me out of car windows just puts me on edge.)

Unexpected noise makes me jump, but I find bracing myself for a sudden noise (without putting my fingers in my ears or anything) the sudden noise still makes me jump even more than if I wasn't expecting it. That's because I'm so on edge that my brain presents the noise in my head repeatedly and I can't do anything to distract it from what's going to happen, and so it keeps on repeating and repeating until the real noise does occur, by then I am so on edge that I still jump anyway. That's even worse.

Loud unexpected noises do startle me.

Can't handle loud music, particularly heave metal can get me into a meltdown.

- Whining.
- Phones ringing (this doesn't necessarily apply to cell ring tones, however).
- The Wiggles.
- The classic nails - on - a - chalkboard.
- Stuff falling.
- My stepmother offering unsolicited advice and finishing with, "just something to think about."
- The "beep - beep. beep - beep. beep - beep" of the microwave timer.
- My stepmother's sneeze.
- Hearing my name said in a certain way.
- Balloons popping right next to my ear. Never could stand that.
- My mom's schnauzer barking at 8:00 in the morning.
- The "beeeeep, beeeeep, beeeep" sound of a garbage truck in reverse at 7:00 in the morning.
