Special Interest: Where Did Yours Come From?

For my current main interest, I don't know why, but I had a mild interest in birds for most of my life. When I picked up a field guide on birds of Eastern North America back 3-4 years ago, it just exploded and I needed to know more and more about birds until I'm at the point where my nickname is the "Birdlopedia". I'm trying to get a volunteer position as an educator for nature preserves in my area but I have difficulty contacting them, lol.

I also have an interest in Astrology. Like, not the fortune telling part of it, but the dates, signs, personalities, ect. Mainly the numbers and geometry of it. I think that came from my mom telling me that I was an Aries, and then did some investigation on it, to the point where I wanted to know more and more about it.

It's a bit scary when I find a new interest because it literally absorbs me, ahahaha. I don't think that feeling is unheard of here though!
