I agree completely, Flagg. To be honest, I think the idea that a moral code needs to come from a god is a little silly. Mine is pretty similar to yours as well.

I am a believer, but wouldn't call myself a traditional christian. Why? Well, chirstianity is associated with maniacs who shout "JESUS blahblah" and condemn those who drink, are homosexual or have pre-marital sex. I'm not going to ask nobody if I want to get wasted, nor do I save myself for marriage(to late, haha). I believe that God sent Jesus to die for our sins and I believe in empathy, love and the ability to make this world a better place. I live by the rule "Do unto others..." and I feel that it covers everything.

I honestly can't believe how people can make evolution sound reasonable. Now if anyone comes to me trying to convince me that a rock was my origin, I am going to laugh at them. Please note, that this is my opinion and I do not wish to upset anyone with this remark. It is my opinion solely and I feel that everyone are free to have their own opinions about existential questions.
So please don't misunderstand.

Buddhism seems logical to me.

You can even be a atheist and a Buddhist

Buddhists ARE atheistic. Most of them don't even believe in ANY gods.

That's good, because evolution doesn't say that. [/pedant]

You can also be atheist and Jewish. In Judaism, it's your actions that matter, not your beliefs.

I am a pretty devout Baptist. Raised Roman Catholic but love my new church, even have been baptized again. It's been a saving grace to me many times. I love the kind people at my church (believe it or not, I have yet to meet an Unkind person at my church which is very large! I am very involved in church activities and so are my kids, who have been warmly accepted by kids and adults alike. (I have to aspie's and a mentally ill son)
I am evangilistic but do NOT believe in shoving religion, beliefs down peoples throats. That is not how God wants any of us to come to Him. But if someone wants to talk about it, I will. I do not like pushy religious people.
I do love my God, my family and my church family. :)

I am not in anyway able to be pushed in a direction for religion. Some poor Jehovahs Witnesses have been trying to show me the light for at least the last Three Years, but always come to a stop when I say what I think about what they are saying. Me being me, I simply enjoy an argument & correct them in the way of thinking, but when you have a woman sitting in your living room & her husband explains to her that I require proof to even start to believe in any type of religion. I then get a reply that the mad lady can see God in the trees outside my house.

I just read the Forum rules & regulations, so my real thoughts on such people cannot be worded how I wish it to & that is sad in itself. The word DIVERSITY becomes more prevailent every day, but if I see something that isn't quite the done thing, I will usually say so. Therefore, it's very difficult to write in a way of how I feel about certain subjects. The Jehovahs aren't bad people at all, they are simply passionate, but want others to join them with as much of a fight as possible. I keep on telling them, I am not interested & will not be lead by something I could never believe. I have my own values & adhere to those. If I go up with Armageddon (like I'm told I will), I do not give a Monkeys. What is the point of Eternal Life?
