All wines, ciders and beers taste absolutely foul as far as I'm concerned.

Smoking while you are drinking I find gives you a worse hangover the next day than just drinking alone.

Try mixed drinks, most have a sweet taste.

I like me a good stronger red wine. It does a great job of tasting good and putting my sensory issues to bed alike. I just wish I had more money to afford the stuff I like.

The majority of NT men who I know like drinking beer and have too much when they go out.

Next doing pee will be a common ASD thing.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I had no intention of suggesting that drinking was an "ASD thing."

I drink for several reasons:

1) I love the taste of good beers or a good Scotch.
2) I am more able to socialize when drinking. I don't have to get falling-down drunk, (although I've had a tendency to do so in the past) but a few beers will lower inhibitions, making it easier for me to socialize.
3) Because I can.

I don't think any of those reasons would likely present more commonly in ASD cases, nor would any of the myriad other reasons people drink. If you're drawing a line between ASD and drinking to socialize, then your logic is flawed. ASDs present with social awkwardness...that doesn't mean that social awkwardness is always indicative of ASDs.

Now...that said, I'm going to work the last 4 hours of my shift so I can go home and drink a couple of beers WITHOUT socializing.
