Citalopram 40mg daily for anxiety. My skin appears to have become more vulnerable to lesions.

Before my recent psych ward stay:
Lamotrigine 200mg (Lamictal) - for emotional dysregulation leading to self harm
Amisulpride 150 mg - for intrusive self-harm thoughts; didn't really work for that but did seem to help my anxiety some
Promethezine 50mg - for anxiety and insomnia; made me sleep so worked for insomnia (and anxiety when I was asleep ;) )

After my recent psych ward stay:
Trazodone 200mg for depression, anxiety and insomnia; not sure if it's helping yet (only been 3 weeks) .
Diazepam 5mg (up to two tablets in 24 hours) for intense anxiety and when intrusive self-harm thoughts are bad. Has definitely helped reduce the frequency/severity of my self harm.

<post about Cipralex>

Hi. I was on escitalopram (Cipralex aka Lexapro) for a few months earlier this year. Like you, the cost of this particular med was starting to get prohibitive for me. I consulted my psychiatrist about alternatives. The difference in chemical structure between escitalopram and citalopram (Celexa) is very small. It is possible to switch directly from one to the other without a ween down and titrate back up process as you would when switching between some other similar antidepressants.

Citalopram is off patent and is available as a generic. I recommend you ask your doctor about possibly making this switch. The difference in cost is significant.

Thanks for the tip! I will ask my doc about it next time I go in.

Wellbutrin (Bupropion)
Dutas (Dutasteride, to keep the hair on my head (it works))

And, being in an EXTREMELY high stress situation this week combined with running out of the Wellburtrin made me nearly have a meltdown. I don't know why but it just works for me.
