went to buy a powerball ticket today at the supermarket, and since I was using my own numbers I wrote them down on scrap and handed them to her. She gave me a nasty look like i was scum and said ''you have anything against the machine's numbers'', i said no, and she said ''you have anything against the number cards''(you are supposed to fill a card out when you choose your own numbers)
at this point I was tired of her treating me like sh** so i said, what's the big deal in a nasty voice......and she said those famous female get out of jail free lines....

I WAS JUST TEASING YOU

I felt bad after she said this, and like I had a possibly aspie moment, so i tried to make up for it, by being talkative with her, and she was bitchy to me and sucking her teeth, so i regretted trying to be nice.

she was asian too.

Why do you make any effort to interact with such a disrespectful person? I don't understand the logic of wanting interaction with an unpleasant person and then not liking it when they are unpleasant to you.
i felt embarrassed that i snapped at her when she claimed she was teasing me...but she wasnt after all..just like the story in the op she was being a b***h which is far from a teasing.

I lost it at our local supermarket with this girl who usually worked on the tobacco kiosk. She used to give me dirty looks and make remarks about me in passing to people she worked with.

One Saturday we went up to do some shopping and she was on our checkout and as predicted she acted in a typically rude dismissive manner - not following the rules they're meant to follow ie being friendly and greeting the customer etc. I'd had enough of her and started loudly naming and shaming her bad behaviour to my partner and it escalated into a row between me and her with me telling her she was so f-king rude and disrespectful and that I'd had enough of it and she even had the cheek to lie and said she had greeted us and that I was the rude one! She ended up walking off and another woman took over at the checkout

When I got home I rang the shop to complain and they left the phone ringing ages then finally answered and made me wait ages until they finally got a manager to come to the phone. I explained I had Aspergers and suffered from agoraphobia as well and found it very hard to even go to the supermarket and was sick to death of this type of sneery disrespectful behaviour off people like her (others in the store had often done it too, including the security guard) and he said 'Well we've had no other complaints about her' as if this made what she'd done to me ok/questionable! FFS! He said he'd have a word with some higher up manager about staff training and I didn't have any confidence in the slightest that he was going to do jack s**t about her attitude but I'll tell you something - the next time I went in that shop, when me and her happened to make eye contact she quickly looked down and I thought Finally she has got the f-king message that I will not tolerate being treated like s**t! Others in the store stopped behaving nastily towards me too but one supervisor woman evidently resented what had happened and makes sure she stocks a shelf right by where we're standing if ever I go in. They're just a bunch of bullies in there but I refuse accept it!

I don't go to the supermarket or anywhere much these days because there's always someone else to take her place and I just don't want to have to deal with it. I can't see what these people have to gain by being so obnoxious or why they can't get it through their thick skulls that I'm not going to tolerate it!

I wonder sometimes why I'm not in prison for murder with the amount of disrespect I'm expected to take off these people!

This is common, people claim that they're "joking" or "kidding/teasing" when they act like an @$$ to prevent confrontation with the person in question. It's so annoying and they honesly think that we're stupid enough to believe that. People are stupid, I've said that before and I'll say it a million more times, people... are... stupid.

I never feel bad about having to stand up for myself, but I do usually feel sore over the incident that made me have to do it in the first place, what the other person said to me and such. It's never fun, but I have a policy of generally keeping quiet around strangers so it rarely happens, although I'm very uncomfortable watching other people fight with one another as well and usually try to get out of those situations.
