It's like reading a horoscope for me, I think I can relate to bits and pieces of each one, or at least to all the ones I read. Not sure if that means there is something wrong with the catagories, or that some people don't fit into those categories.

I am probably closest to innocent/passive rule, but I also have a lot of the emotion characteristics as well, especially as a child.

Some mix between The Emotional child, The Logic child, and The rational-dependent child

Crass commercialism, in my opinion.
Thanks for giving a free plug for a product no one in this thread cared to know existed, until you brought it up that is.

No plug - I'm just pointing out the commercial origins of these "subtypes". If anyone else had read the entire page and sought out the source of what was presented, they would have seen it too.

I'm too mixed to choose. I'm emotional, rule, and logic. My logic side is always arguing with the emotional side. I love daydreaming but there's always a logical side knowing that I could never leave this world for a fantasy one. I find many rules to be stupid and illogical but I have to follow them, even if I hate it. Etc etc etc

I would be a blend of the Logic and Emotion (ADHD/OCD/Fantasy) types. As a child, I also met the "criteria" of the Rule type, in the aspect that I didn't want anyone to be mad at me, but I didn't respect many authority figures, and only put my "Logic" (demanding explanation/analysis) part aside as a defense mechanism in response to the abuse I experienced. :? :bounce: :nerdy:

Here's the regular Aspie quiz i think:
http://musingsofanaspie.com/2012/11/20/ ... spie-quiz/

For a sub type, there are different definitions of each the Rule, Logic, Emotion types

Here's a link to a article on Logic type
http://life.familyeducation.com/asperge ... 40203.html
Here's link to article Emotional type:
http://www.myaspergerschild.com/2012/06 ... child.html
Here is a link to Structure-Dependent (Rules type?)
http://www.myaspergerschild.com/2012/06 ... child.html

Here's a blog that mentions 8 possible subtypes:
http://life-with-aspergers.blogspot.com ... es-of.html

(it's a blog so it's an opinion not fact of the 8 types)

Still intersting. :)

I'm the Spielberg Type
"A sociable, sporty, extroverted aspie with average IQ but poor spelling and grammar."
I like talking to ppl, eventhough I was a very quiet child, I don't do much sport, but I loooove snowboarding, my IQ is above average, but I had dyslexia as a child. I know this is not the typical autistic clichée this type.

Edit: there is an example of the Spielberg Type (he is a lot more extreme than I am):

But I'm also a bit that:
Morrissey Type
"A unique, artistic and creative aspie who feels separated from people and is possibly schizophrenic. These people don't fit in well with society and often feel alien or like they belong in a different time period."
Well I'm not schizophrenic but I write poems, am a daydreamer. But I can get thoughts close to paranoia when I had a trauma and also psychotic like symptoms. But I'm not even schizotypal, but maybe some traits, would also fit with my Bipolar, but nothing enough to dx something else in addition. So just Bipolar and ASD.

Would the Emotion type be more associated with having empathy?

We hear a lot have lack of empathy, does anyone know which subtypes have the trait or is it random?

"Subtypes of Aspergers"
Why?
Does personality type have anything to do with aspergers at all?
The types are simply human variations, - with or without Aspergers.

no sources for the last two of five?
not logical.
categories based upon resemblance to individuals famous for their uniqueness?
that does not compute.
might as well do as i did (once) & allow INTJs (as "scorpio") to have the "pluto scorpio", "lunar scorpio" & "neptune scorpio" variations. (yo ho ho)
at least jung was working from describable function--albeit a priori ones.

why are all these articles talking about this or that boy? If they are supposed to be subtypes of AS/ASD, tehn should they not be talking about children? Or are females just not on the spectrum at all? *sighs*

Quote:
He may have many other obsessions, but the strongest are about fantasies. These fantasies serve many functions ? besides being very enjoyable, they remove him from the unpleasantness of the real world, demands are reduced, and everything goes just the way he wants. As a result, reality is avoided, interactions with others don't occur, and life goes on without him. This is how he copes with stress and reality.

The fantasy subtype reminds me of myself.

Quote:
He usually needs much more time to handle even the smallest issue. You cannot give him too many issues to deal with at once, even if they are all small, or he will be overwhelmed. Bigger issues are too much as well and he falls apart. Sometimes the issues are so small that you think they cannot possibly cause a problem. Not true. Even the smallest change can result in upset if his anxiety is too big.

Also the anxiety one.
