I can't stand flip flops...I can't even stand being barefoot. Unless I'm bathing, I'm wearing socks at minimum.

I love flip flops! I'd wear them all year long, but my feet get a bit cold when it snows. I find them more convienient than sneakers.

I used to hate having anything on my feet, and I could wear flip-flops when I was little...then I stopped wearing them as I got older and starting wearing something on my feet all the time and wasn't able to stand them or going barefoot anymore...last summer I forced myself to go barefoot and bought a pair of flip flops...at first I couldn't stand either...

I'd be barefoot for 3 minutes and then go wipe my feet off...have the flip flops on for 5 minutes and kick them off because they were making me insane. Couldn't stand the feel of either...by the end of the summer though I was finally walking barefoot through the yard and down the street wearing flip-flops...now if I can do it again this summer I'll think I've made progress...I'm too cold to do it in the winter, so it's probably going to be weird again by this summer.

Flip flops make me crazy, especially that thing that chafes between the toes. They also make me unsteady on my feet; I have literally tripped over my own feet while wearing them. I'm always stepping out of them if I try to walk quickly. They are only good for when you get out of the pool...

I thought that was just a "me" thing. I guess I was wrong.

Any flip-flops or sandals with the toe-post hurts the skin between my toes. Ones without, and just with the thing going across your foot are okay, but I can't walk any distance wearing them outside; I just keep tripping and walking out of them.

I don't really wear any kind of shoes outside except trainers and the like. I love my high-top Converse. The best shoes that exist, ever have existed, or ever will exist. :D

Your toes get used to em after awhile, the skin there just needs a chance to toughen up. My problem was learning how to walk in them. Whenever I have something different on my feet it's like I have to learn how to walk all over again, to get myself moving in a way that looks halfway normal.

I have some great not-between-the-toes flip-flops which I've had for 6 and a half years and they are the comfyest thing ever. I can walk miles in them! They're Merrell ones. I haven't been able to find anything like them since though, which is a pain because they'll start to fall apart soon!

For the curious the "thingy between your toes" is called a thong or toe-post
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thong_sandals
I personaly abhor backless shoes of any sort, I don't like the fealing that my shoes are going to fly off my feet, let alone that stupid thong.
