when i was a little kid, it seems in retrospect that i wasn't too good at the imaginary friend thing because i had no RL friends but i did have a toilet plunger that i took to bed with me like some kids would take a teddy bear to bed with 'em, and my parents didn't understand this behavior, so they took it away from me and stuck it in a pile of goo. :hmph:

How to respond to that one? :D

I actually had a toilet plunger on my desk at work for quite a while (it was new, never used) because I was curious about what I could invent using the suction cup (and I liked playing with it). People thought it was very weird though so I brought it home.

Your parents were meanies!~ Why did you like it so much, do you remember?

it was the same size as a teddy bear. and at the time I was into all things munsterish/Addams family-ish and hotrod toonish, so the toilet plunger fit right in to that meme/vibe.

Our family travelled to a coastal town and I somehow 'befriended' a long, long piece of greenish seaweed with a bulbous head (yes, really), dragging it around with me. My father (who was more than nice) let me keep it in the hotel room next to my bed too. It finally died though....sigh.

So I guess I understand the toilet plunger friend. I mean, why not?

Tip: There are actually toilet plungers made with glitter-filled crystal handles!! ! 8O Kind-of a more high maintenance friend though - the diva of all toilet plungers.

the diva of all toilet plungers :lmao: I have a backscratcher [a happy yellow tube with a red-nail-painted "hand" at one end], and in the tube there is a noise-maker thingie that goes "meeooooouuuuwwwwwwwwwww...." if allowed to descend its full length in the tube but if agitated up and down while scratching back it makes an "AH-EE-AH-EE" sound. imagine if somebody made a toilet plunger like that.
