I'm split almost exactly down the middle:

Individualism: 27

Collectivism: 25

I'll have to think about which aspects of my thinking are individualist and which are collectivist.

Individualism low: 11. Collectivism high: 39. But then again, it could be my Asian culture at play. Who knows. I think if I were raised in a different culture I would be the same way and a 'people pleaser' type. The problem isn't about fitting into groups or not, but I think a type of natural inclination.

Balanced.
27 Individualism
28 Collectivism

I believe that society should support and value the uniqueness of individuals.

Individualism - 28 - Moderate
Collectivism - 28 - Moderate

...Moderation in all things!

I've noticed that there is this idea that people with ASDs always want to be alone, but then most do live with other people and go out of their way to interact with people in some way, such as using this forum. I'm dependent on others to be understanding of me, and how I reciprocate is by trying to be understanding of them and honest enough to tell them when I don't understand. I get very lonely, but being around people is stressful, and I'm ill, which means stress is toxic to me -- so, now I am relying on doctors to help me figure out the right treatments to get better. On the other hand, I've noticed that doctors seem to expect a very collectivist-like trust from their patients, and they get angry when I happen to know something more about a treatment they are suggesting than they do -- such as recent studies saying that the treatment does not work. It is frustrating to keep getting abandoned by all these doctors who don't want to put in research time to help me with my illness, but I also know that if I don't question them I might end up in much worse shape, much like I did almost a year ago after I trusted one "specialist" who sounded very logical at the time. So, while I have to maintain some hope in medicine and there being someone who can help me, I also have to be brave enough to counter the doctors when I know they are wrong. It's a precarious situation, but only through moderation in both trusting and doubting myself and my doctors equally will I find a true solution to this roadblock in my life.

^^^
if you know a bit more than the doctor about something, why not engage the doctor in a dialogue about it?

I scored 29 for individualism and 27 for collectivism. I think the quiz uses a somewhat different definition of individualism than mine, though, because I consider myself an extreme individualist. By that I don't mean I hate the mainstream or think everyone should be responsible for themselves and only themselves. But I like to see all people as unique individuals, not stereotypes. My signature reflects how I think everyone is interesting in their own way. I also think that people should be judged only for what they themselves do. I get really annoyed when teachers make comments that address the whole class as a whole, because it doesn't apply to everyone, and it's like the people who it doesn't apply to are being judged for what other people do.

Individualism: 34.

Collectivism: 15.

I'm surprised my collectivism was as high as it was.

Exactly. I would have worded it "people who are rejected by groups are not very likely to support them."

I went with more collectivist, because over-all that seems more accurate...however I think individual freedom/thinking and such is also important. A more collectivist economic system might yeild a more positive result so long as its not specifically 'hurting' a specific group, by hurting I don't mean the end of a disproportionately wealthy elite class that hogs most of the worlds wealth/resources yet contains the smallest population...I am sure it won't kill them to have to come back down to real life. But I do not think people should be expected to conform to some tightly knit image of 'normal' that most people don't even fit into let alone neurodiverse people. So maybe more in the middle?

Individualist: You feel that people are autonomous and must be free to act and think in ways that they prefer, rather than submit to the demands of the group. You believe that each person is unique and all people are encouraged to strive to achieve outcomes and goals that will personally benefit them. You also believe that people have stable personality traits that influence their behaviour, as opposed to their environment.

Collectivist: You feel that each person is inseparably connected to their group or community. Social existence is dependent on group relations. To you, people are group members first, individuals second. You also believe that people's behaviour is more influenced by their environment as opposed to their inherent personality traits.

By those definitions I consider myself to be an individualist, and I think a lot of us are. OTOH, I see most people by their group relations first, and individuals second (if at all).
I think that in general most aspies are individualists and have personality traits more influenced by who they are than their environment, while the opposite is true for NTs.

We have been rejected by most, if not all groups.
I think if aliens landed, they would probably accept us more than the present collectives here on Earth.
