I'm the same way. For instance my friend told me as I reached out "Don't touch him he won't let anyone pick him up". Before she could get the entire sentence out I had hoisted the kitty up on my shoulder. He sat there calmly on my shoulder and looked around then nuzzled against my cheek. Meanwhile my friend stood there looking with her jaw dropped and said "he doesn't let anyone do that to him". I just snuggled with him and kissed him and said he's a good kitty and he purred like a motorboat. Another friend has a cat that is very skittish, but she follows me around when I would visit their home.
