I can't learn to tie my shoelaces?

This is what I like about this forum. I can not tie my shoe laces either yet.
They get tied (double knots) and I put them on tied from then on.
Usually they stay tied for a pretty long time.
I hate it when they have to be retied because then they hurt my feet for a while.
