I'm the opposite. I like some pretty things and colors, but not all. I don't care about my appearance very much, but I used to when I was in preschool, but that's another HUGELY EMBARRASSING story.

Anyway, back to the subject. Usually around the house, I barely wear any clothes, but that's just me. The clothes I DO wear are NOT cute, but are comfortable and loose, which are qualities I appreciate in clothes. I'm surprised by how the clothes in the girls' section of many stores are quantity, not quality. (They're mostly tight, uncomfortable clothes probably made without the designers thinking of comfort. Oh, and I don't wear makeup, nail polish, hair spray, etc., etc. but, again, that's just me.

A hugely embarassing story in preschool? That's very intriguing (I can't really imagine being very embarassed in preschool). It's true that a lot of girls' clothes are tight or weird-feeling. I tend to like looking at them more than wearing them, to be honest :D I love stores that arrange all their clothes by color (the "blue" section, the "tan" section, etc.)

I don't wear Make-up. It makes my face break out. I only wore it once to my Seniour Prom. the other thing is that I don't see the point in putting it on if I'm just going to wash it off. Especially since it costs a lot of money that I could be saving for an emergency.

I didn't get "very embarrassed" in preschool. The reason why I said the story was HUGELY EMBARRASSING was because it's embarrassing to remember. In other words, I don't like to remember it.

TOO MUCH TROUBLE!! ! Also, I have acme. I don't really need makeup.

I did experiment with makeup whilst in highschool, during my 60s hippy phase. I once more or less painted my face with wild designs in make up, much to my horrified mother's chagrin. "YOU'RE NOT WEARING THAT TO SCHOOL!! !!" I'm pretty sure she did think it was creative and interesting, just not publicly suitable.

I hate makeup and refuse to wear it (I can't seem to put it on properly anyhow). It seems dishonest to me. I was telling my boyfriend this; he was very confused and said he didn't see why I would think of it that way.

On the few occasions where I have worn it (it was pushed on me) I felt like a spectacle. How can anyone bear this? How do they eat, keep from touching their face, from wiping at their eyes, etc etc? It makes me feel like a ridiculous clown. Looking into the mirror and not recognizing myself is also very disconcerting. :o

I have used make-up only once in my life. It was on my brother's wedding day. On that day my parents and my brother wanted me to look more feminine, and I had to wear a dress too. I didn't mind the dress which I found beautiful, although it's not the kind of dress you can wear everyday. I don't like the other dresses or skirts, that's why I never wear any. I didn't like the make-up because I felt sticky and hot and my face went all hot. My eyes went red because of the mascara.
Apart from these disagrements, I don't like the look of it. My twin wears make-up and it makes her look like someone she is not. That's heavy, not natural... She looks much older than she is really. I think she is more beautiful with no make-up on.

I hate wearing make-up. It makes my skin itch. I feel like I am suffocating. Same for nail polish!

Yeah... Generally I only wear baggy long pants and big hooded sweatshirts to avoid the sun touching my skin, which is a sensation I hate. Recently I've discovered miniskirts, which are the only type of skirt I find vaguely comfortable, and I only wear them when I'm going out at night. They're more tolerable than long skirts, because I don't end up sitting on folds of fabric, which is very anoying. I still hate makeup.

I dont like makeup on a girl, it makes them look fake, i dont mind alittle but more then that looks ugly to me, and if i was to kiss the girl i hate the taist of that icky stuff on her skin, let alone feeling it or smelling it when i come into contact with her.

Will you marry me???

Just kidding. I'm already married for 22 years. Fortunately, my husband also appreciates a "real" girl without sticky lips and stiff hair. :D

I don't really get makeup. I look fine without it. Infact, I think I'd look ugly wearing it.

I care about me appearance, sometimes wear a bit of makeup for a special occasion. Otherwise, I don't really feel the need to.

i wear make-up as often as i can get away with it.

i've been frowned upon by radical feminists for it, but they had to admit that my make-up is more body art than trying to look girly (i couldn't do girly if i tried) - at least four colours on my eyes (never blue - who wants to look like a synchronised swimmer?), cobwebs or tracery around them, when i'm feeling artistic, combinations such as purple and orange (my favourite) etc, etc.

i love the ritual of putting it on - it gets me in the mood to go out (cos i do that so often, she said, lying through her teeth). i use it for work - it's a sort of mask, the persona i want to present to the world - but i tone it down for work - don't want to frighten the kids.

clothes..... i like to be comfortable (which is why i never wear jeans) and my rule of thumb is... nothing that anyone else would wear, look as different as possible. i've never fitted in, and decided by 13 not to bother trying. i make a lot of my own. i like contradictory dressing - big workboots with ballgowns, fetish boots with my 3ft angel wings (real feathers). attention-seeking? me? never!

V

I like to have a look of my own too, not quite the same as that, but I tend not to like mass produced and plain clothes much. :)
