The problem with this for me mainly is it is British humor directed
at an audience from England, so most of the slang and references
are not something I can relate to. I have gotten to know a lot of
Brits and Aussies on the internet, so I kinda got the gist of a little of
it but not much.

My guess is that it is supposed to be funny by way of contrast and unexpected punchline. The hypothetical guy asking the question seems strongly interested in having a discussion by dint of repeatedly pressing for an answer, but at the end it turns out – SURPRISE – he's just an insulting idiot who isn't even interested enough in the other's answer to listen to it.

I don't find anything this comedian says to be funny at all. It makes my head hurt to try to analyze why it is even supposed to be funny. Jokes like these have a lot of layers of meaning.
