is it just me or do most NTs seem stupid in a lot of ways

Agreed.

I agree completely with this statement.

I haven't encountered very many accepting NTs, even though I have encountered over 3000 humans, only a handful ( 17) were nice to me and even less (3) actually accepted me once they realized I couldn't turn the "weird" off and it wasn't just to be "different".

That being said, To them I appear cold, uncaring and manipulative (this is due to the fact that if one person says something to me, then they say something that contradicts that to another person in front of me, I will pull them up about it. apparently this is seen as "causing trouble". ) so it could indeed be placed down to miscommunication and the inability to relate to EACH OTHER.

I do believe to a degree that all our communication issues we have in regards to communicating with the NT world, they also have with us to one degree or another.

That being said, that doesn't stop them from coming across like complete F**Kwits when you attempt to explain even the basic of principles to them.

Most criticisms I see towards NTs can also apply to Aspies. There are even people on this forum who are eager to generalize both Aspies and NTs or unite a glorified "us" against a "them," or don't understand their own shortcomings and other people's perspectives.

im not saying we are better as we are not what im saying is they seem to not be aware of or try to fix there own problems that NTs do have the way we do if they'd meet in the middle i wouldn't mind but they don't thy are so blind to there own shortcomings

Humans are a social-group minded type animal.

If more people pointed out the short comings of a neurotypical person, they'd be more aware of it.
The only reason we are aware of our short-comings and flaws (I call them quirks! ) is due to the fact we don't have their neurological mindset, thus we are told from a young age that we are different.

If it was the other way around, for instance those with different cognitive faculties were the majority of the population, the average person (NT) would be more aware of their short-comings due to the fact it would be categorized and studied like ours.

In these types of social settings, the majority always wins. Thus, until the day when a neurotypical mindset is considered strange they most likely won't be aware of their short-comings. There is no need with them.


(Terribly sorry if that didn't make much sense, Melbourne, Australia just got over the hottest heatwave in history and I am still feeling the side effects of 40+ degree Celsius weather, I.e Heat delirium.)

but there are countless social psychology study's showing these shortcomings that they are more susceptible to than us even derren brown has reenacted some of these things on tv also i myself have found that very NT people if you will are more suggestible to hypnosis as well when ever iv done that with them its like they want to be led unlike us

I think you've forgotten their biggest flaw of all: Their ego.

The reason they don't see their own flaws, especially in the examples you provided, is because they think themselves above all of that, their egos play the biggest role in their unwillingness to change/accept/see truth/etc. and so they think themselves flawless, just like most people in the world.

The thing you have to remember about NTs is that they come in all sorts of different varieties, and some are easier to deal with than others. In general, people have all sorts of different personality types, neurotypical or not, and when it comes down to it, there really is no such thing as a "normal" human being.

yes but what im talking about goes deeper than personality type yes you will get some that are different as with all things but most are like i describe

It isn't appropriate on a support website for people with a wide range of neurodiversity to call groups of people stupid simply for being different.
