I'm very pessimistic. I annoy people with my negativity. But then again I get annoyed when I'm around people who are too optimistic.

My dad is always optimistic. He pushes my buttons by saying,'Don't worry; help is on the way!' when our car tire blows up on the freeway.

Meaning if you are optimistic, you will see the glass as half full.

I guess seeing what's left, rather than seeing what's gone. Or something. Confusing metaphor.

IMHO you are the most correct and most Mr Spock-like lol

The answer is both, depending on circumstances.

If a glass is being drunk from, the volume is decreasing and will become empty, therefore halfway, it is half empty.

If it is being filled, it will become full, therefore half way, it is half full.

logic, people.

Is the glass half full or half empty? I would like to say it is both. If you see it strictly one way or the other, maybe you're missing half the picture. Its good to see both the good and bad in life. If you only see the good, you have no motivation to improve. If you only see the bad, you may miss something.

It REALLY actually depends on my Bipolar mood swings...although when I'm not in the extreme of moods I tend to want to see both sides of the story, leaning to optimisticism.

T-rav20, 'pedantist' essentially means I'm someone who is pedantic, rather than optimistic or pessimistic. :)
