My own sense of anti-fashion:
tennis shoes
medium length socks
cargo pants or shorts depending on weather
and whatever color t-shirt I randomly pick, regardless of how it matches my pants/shorts
I always prefer plain t-shirts in public, as I tend to be rather self-concious wearing almost anything with logos or writing (not very rational considering how much I already dress against fashion...), but I wear a few occasionally as I run out of clean clothes.
Pretty much the only fashion rules I recognize are traditional formal dress codes (eg if I had owned one, I really wanted to wear a black tie tuxedo to a semi-casual wedding just because they called it "semi-formal").

How to dress "as an aspie"?

The old cliche about 'how to dress as a nerd ( ie pocket protectors overflowing with pens, etc)" comes to mind.

But not all nerds are aspies, and vice versa. So the two styles can't be exactly the same. Though there would be some overlap in aesthetics.

For guys:to achieve the "aspie look" in a way that really sends the message like a bullet that you are an aspie these are the steps:

Always wear sport shirts with one tail tucked in, and one tail tucked out! Absolutely de riguer.

Always wear clothes that almost match, but don't QUITE match ( like a light blue jacket, and light blue slacks- that are not QUITE the same shade of light blue).

Alternatively to (or in addition to) the above: wear plaid shirts WITH plaid pants, or stripped shirts WITH stripped pants, or stripped jackets with stripped pants. Or the like.

For women I couldnt say. But for guys- just call me "the walking aspie GQ"!

I'd like to dress as a pirate every day but I don't think my boss would appreciate that too much.

I usually wear loose fitting clothes that are light weight. I can't stand feeling restricted.

Well more often then not I essentially dress like a metalhead, so band t-shirt...cut off shorts, camo pants or jeans(its always good if they have holes) and a wallet with a wallet chain and black high top skater style shoes. And sometimes with the band t-shirt I wear a:

Sometimes I perhaps look a bit more like a hippie/stoner when I wear one of these:

mine is green and white though

And then I have some other random clothes that don't really go with a specific style and sometimes just put on whatever I happen to grab first which can turn out somewhat interesting. Not so sure if I portray a look that would commonly be associated with AS.

Here's how an aspie is suppose to dress to show there aspie pride.

1) put on a colorful striped shirt.
2) put on a neck bow(A big one.).
3) put on a tutu(especially for you guys out there.).
4) put on a pair of duck feet swim fins.
5) Stick you head under a soft serve ice cream machine and pile it on and top it off with a cherry.

That's it! Now you are ready to show your aspie pride.

Hahaha so funny!

#5 reminded me of when I was 6 and opened a carton of milk and poured it on my head at summer camp. My mom was absolutely mortified I did that. Yet one more strange thing I did that didn't tip anyone off that maybe I wasn't all quite right. Hahaha.

Refreshing to read these replies :D

Whilst not all mathematicians have ASD, and whilst far from all Aspies enjoy mathematics, I think it is fair to say the [lack of] dress sense of mathematicians and Aspies overlaps to a significant degree.

Way back, in the good old days when I went to uni, amongst the mathematicians, for the first time in my life I felt at home, in a number of ways, including the complete irrelevance of dress code. Walking across campus, you could tell at a glance by the way people dressed, when you had crossed over into the territory of the law school or the business school.

The world would be a sad place if Aspies started to worry about what clothes to wear to "blend in".

I guess the same goes for hair cuts. For me, getting a hair cut is about as important as ironing underwear.

Actually I have ironed underwear before. When I travel and when I need to clean my clothes or after going wet from swimming or being in the rain. I will use the iron on my underwear and other clothes to dry them since an iron and hair dryer come standard in just about every hotel room out there.

At this point I have three different pants (baggy jeans, cargos) that I can handle changing between (a little achievement).
Same with t-shirts, within any extended period I have three-four that I change between- rarely, but happens, I change one out with a new one.
I need to wear a big jacket as far as possible (very annoyingly it's so hot now I have to carry it home under my arm, but it's better than going outside without it).
Shoes I really don't care about, for years I've had the same single pair of worn sneakers.
Overall my style would probably be that I wear a bit baggy clothes, main reason being that I get extremely uncomfortable by tight (or even "normal") clothing.

How To Dress As An Aspie:

Part 1, Taking Your Pyjamas Off.

1. Pull your pyjama shirt over your head.
2. Pull your pyjama pants down to your ankles. Step out of them one foot at a time, or just jump out if you like to live dangerously.
3. Do the same with your underwear.

Part 2, Putting More Clothes On

1. Go find some underpants, a bra if you wear one, some pants, and a shirt.
2. Step into your underpants one foot at a time. Pull them up over your hips.
3. If you have a bra, place your shoulders through the shoulder straps and do up the hooks at the back.
4. Step into your pants one foot at a time. Pull them up over your hips and fasten them.
5. Align the neck hole of your shirt with your neck, the right arm hole with your right arm, and the left arm hole with your left arm. Pull the shirt so that it covers your torso and the sleeves are over your arms.

Congratulations, You Are Now Dressed!

My list needs to be a little more specific, like, make sure the shirt is not inside out and the shoes and socks match. And the buttons shuld maybe be lined up with the button holes. Also,if there is a collar, check the collar. OMG,please do not forget the dress. If you use the bathroom before leaving the house, double,no triple check that the dress is not tucked into the panties.

Yes, These all need to be added to my list.

With respect, I ask why would you want to do that? Why would you want to purposly design your dress to fit a certain parameter. Why do you WANT people to see you a certain way? The fact that you do is fine, but I don't understand what you're trying to do. Why do you feel the need to bring attention to yourself with your attire?

I wear band t-shirts. I have one of AC/DC, one of Linkin Park and one of Slipknot. I plan on buying one of Bullet For My Valentine soon.
I also like spiky bracelets and black leather jackets.
Except these clothes, I don't really care about the rest.

i know the layered shirts thing went out of season in the 90's but my house is kind of cold so never stopped doing it. i typically have a pixie cut/buzz thing going on with red/black/gothy long sleeve shirts with a short sleeve button up over top. I didn't intend to look like an over layered male goth teen thing, it just happened by accident. The dozen pockets i'll actually use and hell, black is just a practical colour. I mistaken for a man a lot but i don't really care anymore. at least strange men don't try to hit on me.
