I agree with the other posts, don?t concentrate too much on ?getting a girlfriend?. If that?s your only goal then I reckon in the end neither you nor your partner will be very happy in the relationship. If a guy wanted to be with me just because he wanted a girlfriend I would find it really off-putting. You?d want somebody to want to be with you because of who you are and how you make them feel, not because they just want to be in a relationship.

Getting involved in social activities organized around your interests is a very good idea. That way you?re spending your time in a way that is sensible and enjoyable to you (the primary purpose for taking part), and because of that you don?t have the pressure of ?having to find someone?. I think not having that pressure makes a huge difference to how you interact with people (whether you realize it yourself or not) and it?ll be easier for others to approach you and for you to approach them when there?s nothing ?to lose? in a way.
