in my experience, defiant yes
with me I actually rarely show signs of my aspergers, but when I go so long without sleep, or if I don't get enough sleep, I start showing
I start getting irritated at every little thing, my anxiety pretty much skyrockets, and I've experienced muscle twitches/spasms at some points, which I don't experience at all when functioning at normal capacity. Same with stimming, I actually don't have to stim normally, but man when I get sleep deprived, I'm constantly having to stim.
So if you were to ask me, I would had to say a defiant yes that sleep deprivation can enhance the symptoms of aspegers and autism. it honestly gets scary at some points because I still have a little bit of mentality when going through this, so I'm constantly questioning why I'm doing these things, I try and calm myself down but it just does not

I read that sleep deprivation can kill you in faster than starvation, which usually takes a few weeks. 8O

My biggest Aspie issue when I'm tired is that people assume I'm upset when I'm not. I just look that way cuz i'm tired but everyone assumes I'm mad/angry about something.

I sleep an average of three hours a night. It influences my whole life negatively
