Whether I'm standing or sitting, it happens.

Yes, when I was younger I used to rock forwards and backwards when sitting in the back seat of the car when driving with my parents.

Also, I used to rock when lieing in bed prior to falling asleep. I would lay on my side and make a continous clockwise & counter-clockwise twist movement around my length-axis. During this I would phantasize about stuff and eventially fall asleep.

Now that I older I don't do these kind of physical stims anymore. Though, I still like to make a very small unvisible rocking motion forward-backward or from side-to-side when standing or sitting. Also, I like sometimes to bounce my knee up and down when sitting. Moderate sporting, esp done alone, (joggen, martials arts, weight lifting etc) -- NO competion -- has a very soothing effect on me.
