After months of research im almost positive that autism, adhd, schizophrenia, and other psychotic illnesses are caused by heavy metal poisoning. These metals interfere with neurotransmitters that really are responsible for life. I came across something called bentonite clay. It apparently pulls toxins like heavy metals out of your body though a hot clay bath.
If everything I've research is true, then autism are normal people with toxic in their bodies..
Any input would be great help! I'm trying to free a girl from this madness
This is an intriguing idea. I wish you luck with it despite being a little dubious of its basis... however, I'm very ignorant of it in general. Probiotics is something that I believe has a LOT of untapped potential.
One thing I do know for certain is that a bentonite bath would be absolutely disgusting

Probiotics are HUGE. I'm living a second life right now compared to a couple years ago thanks to diet/probiotics.
Pretty sure the OP wasn't talking about a clay skin mask.. but rather, drinking bentonite clay. I've drank a lot of it over the last year and a half - but not so much over the last few months. Just started drinking some again. I also drank a lot of diatomaceous earth in my shakes as well. Both are said to detox heavy metals, but the other benefit is that they're supposed to help push things through your digestive tract.

Where did you earn your medical degree? Is it a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree? How many previous medical papers have you published? Where have you done your post-graduate medical research?
You posted what I wanted to..
Do you have any evidence supporting this theory? You sound like you just read some nonsensical article on the internet and believed it as factual.

I think that we may have scared off GregtheGrizzle. Apparently, he may not have been expecting to be challenged from this many people.
Come back, Greg, and tell us what you know!

I don't see what the controversy is. Autism is both a gift and a disability. And it's part of who you are.
And Greg, you are not "trapped in autism". If you can talk, then you already have free speech. If you can't talk, you should be looking for a speech synthesizer.
It sounds like what's trapping you is the mission, which isn't really your own. The theory that autism is caused by metals has no scientific basis. You've been suckered by a quackery cult. If you renounce the cult, you won't be trapped anymore.

Drinking it!? That's even worse! Actually I've never drank bentonite but I don't like the way it feels when it's wet since it's so slimy... the sad part is that I'm considering drinking it now purely out of curiosity.
Here is a link to a podcast on probiotics. It's very interesting. It cites a story about a man who had multiple sclerosis, but after having a... "transpoosion"... he no longer had MS. Now, as we all should know, correlation does not equal causation... but you never know
What do these heavy metals you speak of actually do? Do you notice an actual change when you are on probiotics versus not on probiotics? I know for a fact that my iron levels in my blood are unusually high... not dangerously high, but certainly on the high end. Are blood iron levels part of this heavy metal thing? What other metals are part of the heavy metal 'problem'? Are alkali metals part of it?
Thanks.

My brain hurts from this. How exactly is sitting in a pool of clay going to drain stuff from you? The only thing you'll get out of this is having to take a couple showers to get all the clay off of you.
Sorry, but myself having Asperger's and other mental disorders did not come from heavy metal poisoning. That is some fake science trite if I've ever heard it.
Fake science, indeed!
But some people believe it, and there seems to be no way to convince them otherwise - the more scientific evidence you show them the more firmly entrenched their beliefs become.
It's like how some people are convinced that vaccines cause autism, in spite of the fact that every study that made the declaration has been thoroughly debunked.

I find it difficult to believe that every single male (four generations) in my family all got Autism through heavy metal poisoning but none of the girls did.

He clearly mentions "hot clay bath".
On the other hand, I've drunk 'clay water' (for reasons unrelated to Aspergers) and I found the taste smooth & soothing, went down real nice actually.
