I find it very difficult writing letters to people because I over-analyse what I'm writing and worry about creating false impressions.

Does anyone else find that they are observing themselves? Just a thought. I mean, knowing what I'm like, I 'naturaly' modify my behaviour, but find myself curious about it. I am pretending to be NT and its wierd, not realy me.
Theres something I noticed if I take my initials, (they're NT, which I'm not) but if I include my middle name, it's NST, =Not So Typical. I like being AS, given that I know no differnet. So I can amuse myself when I watch me not being me. How about you?

I do, but its constructive. I can judge my behaviour to see if its irrational, etc. I've always been observant but it was never constructive

I should, but I find it easier to write. I tend to say either really good things, or get myself in a heck of a lot of trouble though.

I am also the same, to a point of not knowing who I really am. I find I will mimic people and their actions, and I change how I talk and react depending on who I'm with. My laugh is a perfect example. My kids tell me that I laugh like my sister when her and I are together, and if I hear a new laugh I will use it, usually I don't even know that I'm doing it until afterwards, and I think "Where the hell did that come from?" Then I start analyzing myself to death, and I can tell that others find this a bit strange, because I can become perplexed in the middle of a conversation and lose my train of thought. (I'm thinking about work, here, which is the only social life I have to compare anything to, but they're all pretty used to me...)

Damn! I forgot about this. I've been away from people so long. I would have friends accused of copying my style, all the time - but I wasn't sure if it was true, or the other way, and I was just better at being like them than they were.
