What am I missing here, it seems to me the OP was complaining about taking out anger on others and not having control and now the OP is worried about not trolling. Isn't the therapist doing her job better by inspiring a different attitude rather than by acting nice? I don't understand, can someone explain what I am not seeing?

Just to clarify what I have said. I don't go shopping and just start yelling at people for know reason. It is usually because someone is being rude or mean toward me. For instance, I stop to look at the cans of soup and someone tells me to move out of there way. They could be nice and ask politely. Due to the fact that I'm already frustrated and angry before I go shopping I find it hard not to react to situation like this. I don't tell myself that I'm going shopping to get out some angry and frustration. It just seems to be where have the most trouble with people in general because people are very rude and mean at the shopping centers. For instance, I have to pick up medication tonight at Walmart. If someone bumps into me and says " Get out of my way you fat cow " I will yell back at them and it will not be nice words. I really think there is such a thing as " shopping rage " that is most likely the same people who have "road rage " issues. And who knows maybe people who are troller's also are shopping and road raggers. I think I'm beginning to over analyze again.

That makes a lot more sense, thank you.

But Walmart at this time of year or anytime it's busy is very tough to take. Is there anywhere else you can go? Even the parking lot is difficult, and people are often rude, whether you're walking or driving. It's enough to put anyone in a bad mood, or make a bad mood worse.

I work at Walmart part time in the Photo Center. I shop there because I'm there frequently. It's probably why I'm frustrated and angry allot. I'm still not sure why my therapist would suggest trolling on the Internet. I told her I would never knowingly troll. I'm sure I have offended and made some people mad but it was not intentional.

Walmart seems like it would be a tough place to work, I think I would feel angry too. So loud and bright in addition to everything else!

WP is near on the ropes now. Trolls would be the knockout punch. Some people enjoy that sort of substance-challenged competition, but most don't and the bullying aspect would vacate the premises practically overnight.

Personnally, I think trolling appeals most to opinionated, frustrated, angry people. But its pretty chicken s**t.

I am opinionated, frustrated, and angry, so you're right.

I like them in moderation.

Those of us "in moderation" don't like trolls at all.

I just saw this, and I have to applaud. Fantastic work with that pun, 10/10.

I don't think the kind of trolls I like would get banned. I don't enjoy incessant trolling found on YouTube comments, but I like my fair share of drama now and again.

As NCOT says, drama is fun. It's boring when everybody is sailing life through without an unexpected wave.

I wish a few trolls would join WP. This is all so... "civilised" and "mature" and yet so utterly dull. I want to be entertained by some zingers, not falling asleep reading the most politically correct posts on the planet.

I know what you mean. It's quite a price to pay for getting along with people, surgically removing aggression and never feeling able to be really immediate, like walking on eggshells. It would be interesting to have a section of WP where the politeness rules were relaxed and people didn't have to be so damned inoffensive all the time.
