IMPORTANT: ...I need to do a paradigm-update after recently just learning about this TED talk...

Quoting comments made in response to the video of the TED Talk that I feel are of most relevance...

It would have been great if he had said how to fix this problem and what the basic process would be. It's obvious that each person's solution has to be tailored but other than just brain scans most likely via MRI or CT scans, I would like to know more about how they would go about this, especially if they have gained major grounds. This could help out society immensely. Cheers to advances in medicine.

Read The Mood Cure. It outlines the cure. Check out the reviews on Amazon and buy the cheap amino acids that rebuild the brain. Pharma doesn't want you to fix your brain because it is a major money maker for the industry. The Mood Cure - and the Amen Clinics - heal the brain.

Yes apparently there are ways to alter the brain to change the mood BUT you need to have an actual brain-scan.

I am sorry to read that, r2d2.
I hope that you can overcome this disease.
In volunteer work I did a lot of working with texts about alternative cancer remedies and there were scientific studies proofing that curcumin, cold-pressed black cumin oil, and Johanna Budweiser's lineseed and quark diet having a good influence on cancer development.
Also acidic nutrition is said to enhance cancer, and basic nutrition has a healthy influence (it is written that tumors thrive on acidic ground).
Tumors nourish from glycosis as well, cut it out of your nutrition if possible as much as you can (if your autism symptoms allow you due to sensivities).
There are more, but I do not recall yet.
I believe it is possible to heal cancer, it is a cellular (mental as well?) inbalance, not a death sentance.

I am so sorry for you, - but listen to B19! Get a second opinion and remember, that a well planned mix between conventional treatment and "alternative" means have cured pretty bad cancer before. All the best of luck to you. Let us know how things progress

Yesterday morning. Which basically means that my condition is probably inoperable.
Six months ago I was diagnosed with level 1 ASD and I was so happy about it. Finally I have an answer to a life long puzzle.

But I can't see anything positive about this latter diagnoses. When I asked the Gastroenterologist if I probably have about one to three more years to live - He said, "Yes, that is probably about right."

When I was young I used to constantly contemplate suicide. Then I discovered that life was more bearable than I initially thought and that some of my unsolvable problems did have solutions.

Now it is all completely out of my hands. Is there a right way for a person with ASD to face the likelihood of death?

Sorry for being such a downer. I just can't come up with a way to put a positive spin on this one.

I'm so sorry to hear of this :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

So sorry.

Hope the doctor made a 'worst-case scenario' judgement and that you have more time left than you say. Hope you can enjoy what you have left.

Very, very sorry to hear about this.
I understand totally as I thought about suicide a lot my whole life and then got head and neck cancer.
They were possibly going to have to resect my mandible.
Bad luck for being in the primary radiation plume of the Chernobyl disaster.

I realize this is difficult for a lot of people, especially Aspies who tend to believe more in science than the unexplained and unprovable, but seeing how I was always alone, I made a choice a long time ago to believe in God. Plus I was diagnosed in a foreign country with nobody to help me through the 5 surgeries and treatments. But because I chose to believe in God, I realized that if I lived, well, I would be alive and in the same rut as always. If I died, I would be with God in heaven. I like to imagine that heaven is possibly better than here, so for me it became a win/win no matter what happened.

I had a 50/50 chance the treatments and surgery would work (although radiation to the mouth is no picnic) and although I look a bit strange post-op and live with some mild to moderate constant pain, I've been in remission since 2000! That is to say; please, don't give yourself a death sentence. It really is in God's control more than it is in ours or our doctors.

If you'd like to talk more about what you're going through with somebody who has been there, or at least in a similar neighborhood, I am available to talk, either publicly on here, or through other methods. If you give permission, I will also pray for you in my private prayer time.

I hope you are doing well - considering circumstances.
You may know this one, but if you happen not to, there are some ideas about treatment of your type of cancer.

Very good luck to you.
