Do you have problems figuring out "high functioning"?
Just my take on it, but I consider "high functioning" as someone whose Autism does impact their life, but they manage to do things like take care of themselves and hold a job. "Very high functioning" would be an autistic person who has pretty much a normal life but does occasionally get tripped up by how their Autism affects them.
I'd call someone who's Autistic and is impacted enough that they can't quite manage for themselves "moderate functioning," and someone who really needs to have some kind of assistance to manage life as "low functioning."
