It depends. Large cubic inch engines (ie. 400+) and high rev engines (ie. Ferrari/Lamborghini) can be fun to listen to if they are in proper tune. But I detest those that are out of tune, as it is one of my pet peeves. I also hate certain import cars that are purposely made to sound like a rattling can being kicked down the road.

As for electrical motors, they usually do not bother me at all.

Ooooh, I didn't even remember choppers until you mentioned that. Harley ones. Yessssssssssssssss. I love them. I seriously love that sound. But I wouldn't like it to wake me up when I'm asleep though, but otherwise it's nice.

Have you ever ridden on a loud bike or driven a loud car? There is just something about it. I can't describe it. I'm talking about something that is supposed to be loud, not loud because the muffler fell off or it wore out. It's just a primal feeling kind of to drive something with a nice sound.

This is the system I'm hoping to buy for my Wagon :D

Too tinney. I like that deep rumble. You know what I mean. You don't see it anymore on modern cars, even the American ones now.

Bikes don't bother me at all but 18 wheelers scare the living s**t out of me nowdays. I don't know why. Maybe the two wrecks I was in involving them, but I will pull over if I have to to get away from one. Stupid, huh?

I can avoid a lumbering 18-wheeler. I can't avoid a speeding motorcycle.

Yeah but if a bike hits your car it won't kill you. If a truck hits it then it very well could, both times I was involved with a truck accident my car was totalled.

It's also easier to manuver a bike than it is a truck

It's not me I'm worried about....it's the bikers. Accidents with motorcycles often end up with serious injuries for those in motorcycles. It's like trying to avoid a moving target.

Yes, and people who know how to ride do not ride like that unless they absolutely have to and usually they also know how to avoid cars, anticipate cars and how to lay down the bike if need be. It's the idiots who just want to look like they are on SoA that you gotta worry about. I've been on the back of a bike going close to 100 and weaving in and out of traffic, but he had a reason for that and I was scared to death but he knew what he was doing. He very, very rarely did that. This guy was a good rider.

You aren't likely to run into something like this often lol. However, this is one of the absolute best riding scenes from SoA. One of the only arguments I had with the show was that they didn't have a lot of good riding scenes. This one made up for a LOT. I love it! Great riding there. Absolutely some of the best.

And a part of me would love to be on one of those bikes, but the rational old lady part of me is scared s**tless of the idea lol.

The sound of engines doesn't bother me at all. In many cases I find them relaxing.

Very good point! I know that many women (including me) dislike--or even hate--some engines because they're often operated by leering sex hounds, or at least men who think such machines make them highly attractive, but of course it strikes many of us as sleazy, desperate, and juvenile. Depending on our past experiences, it can be very hard to separate that creepy feeling from the vehicle's noise. :eew:

I went to my grandmas for the weekend, and there are REALLY loud cars and motorcycles that come down the street. Though it is the street that connects the cities north and south sections.
