Not far off me either, though I'm not sure how "hip" I am.

Oh crap, I thought he said hippy, not hip. I dunno about looking hip, maybe, not sure though.

I imagine kraftiekortie as a kind-hearted doctor, DevilKisses as a young gothic lady, jk1 as a quite office worker, Spiderbig as a middle-aged bald guy and Catlover5 as a skinny teenager.
What does hip mean?

I'm gothic on the inside, but I don't look gothic in real life. I just look a bit like a hipster.

I picture the people on WP the same way that I see people in real life. I see each person as a unique being who has their own personality. I love people. We're all different. :)

I do imagine people here as their avatars, even if somebody has, say, a picture of a sunflower, I imagine that member is actually a sunflower typing  .

Usually when there's significant emotion involved in a post, my imagination humanizes the member, but for some reason I always picture everybody here as a young man or young woman around my age, unless their avatar is a realistic photo of the member as an older person.

^I imagine you as a young lady who is industrious and busy all the time, and has her hair tied in a ponytail.
Do you imagine me as a cockroach? FYI, I'm a human.

Hm, on the Net in general, and definitely on this forum, I've often wondered what others assume my appearance is like after dealing with me for awhile.

I've always sorta thought that they possibly imagine me as some sort of basement-dwelling, overweight person or something, you know the sort.

In reality, I look like this: http://i.imgur.com/qvIbpB5.jpg if anyone cares to look at all.

It's not a very good photo and I've shown it elsewhere, but I'm much too lazy to go take another one. I've had... interesting reactions to that photo from people. IRL I for whatever reason (I really dont know why) like the idea of having a really androgynous (or even somewhat girlish) appearance; wether or not that's working I can never tell. Though from some reactions, maybe it is. I'm male, by the way.

But yeah, I've often wondered about that, if anyone's perception of me is even close to how I actually look. Very curious, actually.

And I'm guessing my avatar image there might affect some perceptions too. Though I actually intend on cosplaying that character, so... yeah.

I tend to associate people with their avatar images as well, to a point. I dont know why, but I just automatically do that. Sometimes I'm surprised to see what they actually look like, whenever someone does show a photo. I've not seen that too often in here, so alot of the time, it's just pure guesswork. It's easiest of course if someone uses an image of themselves as their AV image, which I think more than a few people actually do on here.

I think I'd have to really spend some time thinking about it to figure out just how I imagine a specific member to look like based on what I've seen of them, but I can definitely do it.

I imagine members by their avatar and the way they speak.

I have shown only 2 members of this forum a photo of me.

I imagine the people here as being people, only who look like their avatars. The more I think about it, the less sense it makes.

So you're an unhappy twilight and also a person, so I assume this is you?

I'm visual. I see each member as their avatar. I don't go beyond that as I keep thinking that a "he" is a "she" and a "she" is a "he". I figure if I can't get a person's sex right then anything else is surely not going to be anywhere near right so why even try?

I picture other members as their avatar, or as the letters of their screen name if they don't have an avatar.

If someone describes their appearance I will imagine what they describe if it is concrete enough....but the image I come up with is generally more like fragments of a person with very obvious blank parts -- or a sort of kaleidoscope of such image-fragments (with blank parts) that match the description, shifting always because I have no idea which image-fragments might come close to any part of what the person actually looks like in reality.....well, maybe it's more like a mosaic than a kaleidoscope, with all the tiles/pieces of glass changing constantly and shifting around a bit to accomodate the changes, and some big blank spaces where tiles/pieces of glass are missing.
