I'm nearly 23, but whenever people guess my age, they always estimate about 14. I've had it from plenty of different strangers. The worst though was last Christmas when my mom showed one of her co-workers a picture of me decorating the tree in my pyjamas, and asked her how old she thought I was. Her alleged response? Eight or nine. Nuts.

Female; have always looked younger. Sparing you the details, it's got a downside.

I am a 52 year old male. I have been told that I look much younger. As an example, the woman who cuts my hair thinks I look like I am in my mid-to-late 30s. I think part of the reason I look younger is the way I dress (mostly jeans and t-shirts).

Wow Nowherewoman I would have guessed you were in your early-mid thirties, nice going.

And I was saying it was a good trait in females as we males generally prefer females that look younger in appearance and girls are always trying to look young from what I've seen with their anti-aging creams and make-up and whatnot, but obviously there are other factors too that could be negative just like they are with males.. sorry if I sounded inconsiderate.

To the person that said it was thought by some that it was at least partly due to us having blank expressions a lot of the time and not using our face muscles.. that's a good theory. I do think that there may be some evolutionary background to it too though.

You look so much younger! I didn't ever think it was an AS trait.

I dunno doubtful, maybe society has a warped perception of how age should look based on older actors portraying younger individuals in different types of media. I used to have people tell me I looked really young, but now I'm starting to be able to grow somewhat fuller facial hair and it's becoming less of an issue. I look my age apparently.

I only suspect that I may have Asperger's but, a lot of people think I'm the younger sibling even though I'm 20 and she's 17. When I was 19 someone thought I was 16. I asked my mom about it and she said that it could be the way I dress and communicate.

Also, this mainly applies to females, maybe since some aspies can't stand to wear makeup they end up with better looking skin? Or even look younger because of the lack of makeup? I can only stand to wear eyeliner.

I'm 19 and during my last internship people thought I was 23 or 25. That may be due to the beard.

I'm 32 and I still get asked for ID occasionally, especially without my beard. But I'm also overweight and prematurely greying so I people either get my age right or think that I'm a little older.

I do still feel as if I'm in my early teens a lot of the time though.

I'm 23 and a girl and people sometimes think am still a teenager. However I cut my hair short because it makes me look my age. If I wear hair extensions I can look like 16

I've always looked younger than my age. When I was 21 I had my oldest child and people thought I was about 14-15 at the hospital. I took a lot of attitude abut that. I even had a stranger come up to me in public and ask me how old I was when I was 9 months pregnant. Very offensive.

When I was in my early 30s I was still passing for under 21, getting not just ID'd for alcohol purchases, but accused of it being a fake ID.

Now that I have a 12 year old daughter who is almost my height and weight, and since we both tend to wear concert t-shirts and jeans and sweatshirts everywhere, we sometimes are asked if we're sisters (I'm 42) - she looks like she's 16 at all times and I can still pass for under 30 if my hair is freshly colored (my family has early grey unfortunately).

Our stores have signs that say if you appear under 40 you will be ID'd but I dont drink and my husband quit ages ago so I don't know if I'd still be ID'd but if I wasn't I'd be angry cuz I surely shouldn't look 40 yet if I' only 42! LOL
