i'm not sure if it's joy or mania, but it works, either way.

kids, puppies, my kittycats... DVD's, shiny pretty new boxes of movies all lined up on a shelf.... new toys in general, TV's, etc.... breathing in and out.... rolling hills, blue skies, white puffy clouds..... gardening..... cooking.... reading, reading, reading.... watching, watching, watching..... being left alone.... music.... driving on an open country road with no traffic....

i think joy, like misery, is mainly internal, but joy is easier for me when the external world is beautiful to my eyes.

Back after a long time... great topic. Here's some things that cross my mind.

- Rainy mornings. On a Saturday.
- A long, grilled sandwich with coffee or cocoa by the side
- Staying late in bed
- Susie
- Music: My record collection, my audio gear, and of course the pleasure of enjoying every single note out of it.
- Travelling abroad (becoming a total unknown... but with a clean slate)
- A clean, natural, pristine mountain creek
- Being surrounded by nature
- A zen garden
- Take the car and go anywhere just for the heck of it
- Create stuff with my computer
- Draw and paint (which sadly I don't get a chance as often as I used to)
- Read comic books
- View my favorite animated films
- Pasta! :D
- Still having my parents alive and around

However, I would happily trade some of those above for Magic's luck of being engaged (and for the very reasons he pointed out) :)

Cept maybe the kids part. I'm not as fond of children.

Loads of things have brought me joy, such as: BB guns, archery, AOM, Half Life 2, Morrowind, my dog, my friends, the fat Norwegian troll in the grey jumper who controls the crazy Swedish cult etc.

I got them from: http://www.smileyworld.com/dictionary/top10.asp

But you have to Save Image As and then use an image host to put them on here. Well, there is perhaps a simpler way. But that was how I did it.
