Antidepressants

That sounds like an awful lot of trouble to go through for something that wasn't your fault to begin with. It's really commendable that you have the intelligence and persistence to advocate for yourself and make informed decisions.
That was pure fear that motivated me. It took several months of waiting for them to make the move. The program people were just as confused, but had to follow guidelines. They 'knew' I wasn't abusing or using anything that sped you up. My physique alone tipped that one. You don't stay fat if using or, especially abusing amphetamines. My actions and demeanor were not of a person using or abusing any form of speed. No aggression, no bad mood swings. etc. It may not have been my fault, but at least my actions laid the groundwork for the next person who may face the same situation.Yigeren wrote:
I wish everyone had that ability, but some people just aren't intelligent enough or are too young or inexperienced to know that doctors are not infallible.
That's compounded by many things. People of my generation or older are conditioned to believe in their doctors. And, the doctors are not going to do anything to correct that impression. They have enough ego for the most part.Yigeren wrote:
When I pointed out to the one that her diagnosis made no logical sense, she just looked at me like I was an idiot and repeated herself.
That's when you want to smack 'em around like a cheating boyfriend when they get all superior like that. What irks me more is when they do that AND talk louder.
