I don't think my natural appearance has changed since I was fourteen. People used to think I looked younger until I cut my hair off. Now people see me as my actual age.

I have been told that I appear 15-20 years younger than my actual age.

When I wear my hair shorter, people seem to think I look even younger. This has been true ever since I was a teenager--a short haircut seems to consistently take about 8-10 yrs off my perceived age. The first time I chopped my hair off about chin length, the following day at work I was questioned about my age--20 at the time--the coworker who had asked shook his head and informed me I was "20 going on 12." I wasn't sure if he meant it as a compliment.

I would like to think so, just wasn't able to read the tone of voice. A common problem. Lol.

If someone comments about how young I look I just tell them that years ago, I was involved in an industrial accident, where I fell into a giant container of Olay anti-aging serum and nearly drowned, that or I fell into a fountain of youth and nearly drowned. Something to just brush it off I guess.

What is the texture of the fabric you used? Is it similar to the way Sonic's hair/spikes are supposed to be?

No i just simply took two blue cotton hoodies, cut one up, hand sewed them into sonic quill shapes and the rest is history.

i wish i couldv'e done his actual texture, its like a bunch of smaller quills formed together to make the large 6 spines. from a far his quills look smooth but if you zoom in on his 3d models you can see the details.

Brilliant - you are quite creative and skilled!

I went to the dentist about a week ago, the lady sits me down and says, "So how was school?" I said "Huh? I'm not in school." She replied, "Aren't you in highschool?" I just kinda stared at her and super flatly was like, "I'm 28." Her reaction was pretty great, lol.

People often think I'm much younger than I am.

I'm often mistaken for being a teenager. In my case, though, I think it's more from being trans than being autistic.

I worked with someone who thought I was in my early 20s and I'm 39.

People have always thought I was older than I really was. Sometimes by as much 10-15 years. It wasn't until I hit my mid 40's that I began to age into my proper looks. I now look my age. Now if the rest of my hair would just go white.

If it were white, then it would be easy to dye it crazy rainbow colors without having to bleach it out.

Nope — I currently have the opposite problem. I always have people question my age, such as ticket inspectors. I'm only 16 but have received comments that I look 29+ years old.
