Does Anyone Have a Relative with Aspergers/Autism?

My mom thinks my dad may have AS, but isn't sure. And he and my step-mom think that my half-brother, Chris, has AS although it's not official. Other than that, there's no one else.

I have a cousin on my dad's side of the family who has classic autism. On both sides of my family, I think there are definitely relatives with AS or ADHD.

I believe my Father is an Aspie.

The unfortunate thing is that I will never be able to get him tested since my Dad just doesn't do the whole mental health scene. He'd get really angry with me and scoff the whole thing off if I ever tried to suggest he get tested. He doesn't know he's autistic. He doesn't even know he has OCD. So his diagnoses will forever be unofficial.

I think my brother's son slight shows signs of autism. He definitely shows sign of Oppositional Defiant Disorder right now. Thought I don't know if that fits into the autism spectrum or not. I will defer to more learned sources.

Well, I have Asperger's, my oldest son has autism, my youngest son is non-autistic but gifted, their father is just anti-social and all by choice and non-autistic. My father has at very most very minor AS traits, mainly fixated on collecting sports cards. His father (my grandfather that I never met) possibly had Asperger's, on my father's father's side of the family, one of my father's cousins has a severely autistic teenage son and I have heard there are at least 3 other autistics as well on that side of the family. Not aware of any on my mother's side.
