I already know I can't do fast food because I have tried it. I have had internships and jobs in zoology, but there is a gap that is hard to explain.

I feel like I'm setting myself up for a let down, because I fell in love with a potential job so much... I can't even bring myself to apply to other jobs because of that one.

I think I'm beginning to understand. You seem hyperfocused on this being impossible. Any chance you are going through the down side of your bi-polar disorder?

Being rejected hurts. It really sucks. But that's what job searches are all about. It takes dozens of rejections to get one acceptance. This is for everyone, not just autistics.

Maybe this is the time to focus on getting yourself more well. If you are so fixated on fast food that you can't even think of finding yourself other options, and one rejection is filling you with so much anxiety that you can't even submit another resume, its time to step back. Those aren't healthy reactions.

There is a whole world of possibility out there. But you have to get your brain out of that rut before you can see it.

I'm sorry, got you confused, I applied to a good job two weeks ago and other jobs don't seem as good so I'm having a hard time applying to those jobs. The job involves online interaction with people, so I got myself involved in their Twitter and chat stuff, trying to demonstrate my bird knowledge to them. I'm getting really sucked in even if I did not apply for a job because its my interest×4 on their site.

Sorry. Yah. I think I got posts and posters confused. Bird knowledge is cool!
