Lostinspace,

What breed is your new kitty? Great to hear you are adopting a cat!

I'm obsessed with the city of Spokane. It's my favorite town but I decided to move to Portland instead because it's where I grew up. I plan to move to Spokane in the next 5-10 years.
I want to watch other movies that were filmed there too.

mine flip flop, a lot-I kind of cycle through things, never fully losing interest-it's just that I'm not quite "as" interested as I was before.

Seed bead sorting (lol, I know-it's sad)

Drawing (anime I really like, but cannot create on my own-I just look off of stuff and draw what I see)

Music-I go on random music binges where I look up 10 bands I've never heard of and listen to their stuff

Making lists about myself (I come back to this one a LOT)

Making things/projects-currently my obsession is about to be making a board game called "Life Sucks Then you Die" for my aunt who found the idea quite humorous

Making T-shirt designs for me and my fam's shirts

Rearranging all of the furniture in my house over the course of a weekend (hey, it may not be considered an interest, but it's fun for some reason to do every once in a while)

Drawing tat designs

hmmm..very similar to mine i must say...add love, writing, and the dramatics and that sounds completely like me...

There are two cats I have my eye on at a local shelter, here is a link to a picture of them:

Yeah, I'm so excited to be adopting! I couldn't have a pet in college because pets aren't allowed in the dorms, and this year (my first year of grad school) I shared a small apartment that didn't allow pets with three other people I didn't know, so it also wasn't possible. I'm moving apartments in a few weeks though. This time I was familiar with the area, and was able to find an apartment that allows pets, so as soon as I move, I'll be adopting.

I obsess on adventure games, movies, fantasy books, natural disasters, roller-coasters and Asperger's/Autism. At least those are the main ones that have been sticking with me these past couple of years. It can vary all the time what I'm obsessing over on a given day. The past few days I was thinking about Spider-Man a lot because of the third movie.

Music. Reading, performing, not so much writing it, but I do keep my ear in practice by transcribing stuff I listen to.

Books. I've been reading mass marketing science fiction and fantasy for a long time now. I can easily spend a whole day at borders just sitting in a chair reading books. When I'm in a peculiar mood I'll read literature. A while back I went and read as many books by Russian authors as I could find. It was interesting.

Current boiling interest is systems programming and operating system development. I've even got an independent study lined up at college next semester with this in mind. :)

To list them all from childhood - I was obsessed with street directories, telegraph pole insulators and street light luminaires (something about artistically designed objects that are so commonly found but near impossible to get a hold of), cathode ray tubes, skyscrapers, certain specific songs (Remember that episode of Seinfeld where Elaine's boyfriend froze up whenever he heard Desperado? Well I once had similar feelings for John Lennon's 1980 hit '(Just Like) Starting Over'. More recently though, I almost achieved astral projection by listening to that song while falling asleep; but that song doesn't really affect me that much anymore...), and too many other things to mention...
