I got 82%.

I too thought the first part was very easy, though felt like I was guessing for most of the other two parts, so I'm surprised I got a score as high as I did! woo hoo!!

In life though, I constantly think I see people I know that turn out not to be them. I used to go up and talk to people and then end up continually embarassed. I quit doing that, but often find myself staring trying to figure it out...

92% here. I think I would've done better had I realized from the beginning that I needed to learn all six faces for the remainer of the test.

I'm not good with faces, but I got 81%. I think that I got a similar score on the previous version of the test, but I guessed much more on that one than this one. I felt pretty good about many of my choices this time. I had 3 of the six faces nailed (the chubby face, the long face, and the thin lips face). I had really no clue about the others, but those three seemed to be enough to get me through.

I got 81 percent. I was surprised by how well I did.

It would have been easier with hair :D

I got 40-something right on the Cambridge, but did well with the Famous Faces, Women's Faces, Cars & Shoes. This was interesting! The faces on the main test went by too quickly for my ability to recognize them. I can barely remember what my therapist looks like, from one visit to the next. My caseworker & psychiatrist I can remember better, because they're both very unusual-looking. One is hugely tall & sort of red-headed, & the other is from India & wears a sari; their faces are rather unusual too. My therapist is just sort of a normal-looking woman, and though I really like her it's a good thing she comes out to the waiting room & finds me!

I've always been pretty bad with faces unless they're very unusual.

Editing to add: I just took this again next day & got 49 right which was a little higher than my first time around. That gave me 68% correct, and possible face recognition difficulties is listed as being 65% or below. I partly have problems recognizing faces, and I have terrible trouble remembering names/matching them to people in a group, unless I've had a fair amount of time w/ that individual with only a couple or so others around who I already knew well.

I'm not sure, but I don't think so. It seems to me that our brains come with a bunch of "receptors", each for specific types of things, and we've got to do with whatever particular set of "receptors" we've been dealt with. It's possible to compensate a bit for blind spots that we have (e.g. I do now, at age 40, have just a bit of an ability to infer people's intentions), but it never becomes the direct observation that would have been possible with the appropriate "receptor".

Hey, but doesn't the brain create new connections when trained? I think I read something like that

Out of 72 faces, you correctly identified 52.
In other words, you got 72% correct.

The static part threw me off, I used to see things in static and white noise so it kind of interfered.

79%

What's funny is I otherwise suck with faces. Of course, in the quiz I simply memorized the shape and density of all the eyebrows, as opposed to the entire faces themselves.

Were as I'm the total opposite. I'm usually very good at remembering faces at least where I can be like, "you look familiar, I've seen you before." or something but I scored horrible on this.

I wouldn't take too much stock in the test, not that anyone is, because seriously, how often are we faced with faces that alike, without hair, all of the same race and gender, etc in real life? I mean between race, hair, size (although there was some variation in size, none seemed *too* obese nor too skinny), and clothing style, real life is a far cry from that test.

That's exactly what I did: I also tried to memorize the eye shapes with the eyebrows, but was better at the eyebrows.

In other words, you got 79% correct.

Booyah for me! Average score! Although I was surprised that people on here did as well as they did- I thought for sure my score would be the highest. I guess some people were using strategies to remember the faces.

I can never remember even basic details about someone's face and appearance until I get to know them pretty well, but I can recognize them. I just couldn't describe them, or picture them in my head.

On our previous version of this test, the average person with normal face recognition was able to recognize about 80% of the faces. If you correctly identified less than 65% of the faces, this may indicate face recognition difficulties.
