^^^ get your thyroid checked ASAP. in the meantime, try generous doses of caffeine [unless you have hypertension]

When I was a teenager, I thought energy drinks were the solution to my motivation problems. All they did was make me anxious and irritable, on top of generally being bad for one's health. Getting my thyroid checked might not be a bad idea however.

I thought it was common knowledge that energy drinks were bad for you. They contain far too much sugar and the majority of them use the ingredient, aspartame, which is supposedly very bad for you.

NOT energy drinks, but regular stiff coffee. or caffeine pills ["no-doz" and the like]

I've gotten jitters from both of those too, believe me.

I have trouble doing things I don't want to do.
Doing something I don't want to do creates a feeling.
This is an angry and painful feeling.

I wonder is it that I don't have patience or is it that other people don't get the feeling as intensely as I get it.

Let's say I get 10 negative feeling points for doing something I don't want to do. So I can only do it for 1 hour. Let's say other people only get 3 negative feeling points. So they do it for 5 hours. Does this mean I don't have patience?

Let's say I still get 10 negative feeling points but can do it for 3 hours. I'd say I have more patience than other people who can do it for 5 hours. It's about the level of pain you put up with.

Yes, major lifelong Executive Function Disorder (EFD). Has messed up my life a lot. If it's not something I want to do, it's very hard to get it done, and often it won't get done. Tried making lists. They look nice, but they won't go and do the stuff on them for me, so this doesn't work good for me. Might for some others, though. Don't know a way to fix this. It is definitely a comorbid with my Asperger's. Like others on the spectrum, I tend to focus on whatever I am interested in at any given moment. Anything not part of that interest is going to get little or no attention. Also, I am easily distracted by things, so again, things like chores don't get done. :wall:

I just cannot seem to become a neatnik, not even when I was in the army. the only way I can not be messy is if I have absolutely nothing. I can't seem to keep on top of stuff. organization is a continuing struggle. deciding where stuff should go sometimes seems impossible.
