I didn't speak until I was four or five according to my mother. I was also echolocaic and would literally say the same thing over and over again for hours apparently. I did it to understand the tone, syllables and how the words felt coming out of my mouth. I have trouble getting my words out on paper if it's a topic I don't particularly care about or am new too. I'm betting at writing than I am actually speaking...especially if I can type opposed to physically write. I was a poster child for dysgraphia but never got diagnosed because it either wasn't an actual diagnosis at the time, or my school was just as lazy as they claimed I was. I was always having to rewrite handwriting assignments, only to have the new version even "sloppier" than the original and I ended up having a meltdown because my hands and arms hurt and I couldn't write anymore and nothing I did was "good enough". If the teacher pushed me, I could get aggressive...physically aggressive...to the point of the teacher having to leave the school in an ambulance. Anyhow,
EVERYTHING I say is something I've heard or read somewhere else at one point in time. After going round the block a few times, I've just learned how to "take them apart" and construct them with other things I've heard or read so it SEEMS like I'm saying something original.
