It's the combination of your blood type, body fat% and your internal body temp. Mine is 99.2°F so I'm very sensitive to the heat.

what blood type handles hot and cold the best? and when I was at work I noticed the skinny young things shivering in sweaters all the time in the 85 degree heat, while the obese ones sweat like overworked horses just standing still in that heat. I wasn't exactly skinny nor obese but I sweat like the obese ones.

Hello. I prefer the autumn weather. It's my favourite season. I hate it really hot outside like summer. I feel heat is a trigger for anxiety for me, since I start sweating and feeling really hot and blush when I'm having a panic attack and/or high anxiety. I also don't like the cold because, though not official, my family doctor said I have a mild allergy to the cold, since I develop rashes if my hands are exposed to cold weather for a period of time. I also get dry hands that they crack, then they burn because of it, and my hands sometimes are itchy. It's not fun. This has only happened on my hands. Didn't happen last year though. But happened the previous 2-4 years. It really hurts.

But most of the time, I am always hot, not cold, so I prefer it slightly cooler than hotter.

It's probably because I'm so darn skinny. I have very little fat to keep me warm.

I love the cold weather but air absolutely cannot stand the heat. I cannot sleep during the summer and the heat sets off my I.B.S so I avoid going outside whenever I can during the summer and don't eat before I go out or when I am out.

I get sick if I'm in the heat for too long and can't access air conditioning. . As a kid, cold was rarely a sensation I felt. I was always hot. I always wanted the air conditioning on, even in the winter. I could roll around in the snow buck naked and still feel like I was on fire.

I can handle the cold no problem, I can bundle up more layers or blankets or turn the heat on, I can do the opposite for sweltering weather and it has a markedly impotent effect on alleviating the sly symptoms that swarm around me in comparison. I go jogging in shorts when it's considered 'chilly', I am pally with the cold. I like going exploring the exposed moors in the snow in normal clothes and don't really get colds either, a sniffly nose every now and then mostly. Now when it becomes above 60 degrees that's where my patience and ability to regulate my brain starts getting infected, it works on the same scale as the heinous assaults that I receive from excessive light or noise, I love the dark and silence but I don't really love the cold, I don't mind it because the heat is way worse, I don't wanna be encased in an ice block or freeze my nuts off though, I can deal with it being cold though, I can't deal with it being hot unless I make dealing with heat overload my number one priority in existing hanging above everything else, so heat is hell on me.

^^^mee too, I had heat stroke as a young man working in a 120+ F degree army warehouse. it permanently warped my body's ability to roll with the heat and cold punches.

That sounds like a wretched experience, I hope you are surrounded by lots of fans and enjoy ice clinking in your drinks! Closest I came to heatstroke was when I decided to get off the beach and began marching up these towering sand dunes because I thought I saw a café on top, I damn near passed out by the time I got to the summit and realized it was some abandoned and boarded up toilets! (What a weird place for them) I thought of breaking in to get into blessed shade but found a sheet of metal to use lol.

Hmmm, i like the summer months but get very fidgety in hot weather, optimal temp for me seems to be around 18c
When in a hot country i appreciate air con, but i find it rather drying on the throat!.

When i was younger my parents thought i was a bit weird in the fact when i used to like in the UK i would keep my windows open even during the winter and would get frustrated every time my mom turned on the radiators, i dont think she realized how uncomfortable it made me feel... Folks own a large Georgian house so the windows are quit massive and were wide open even in snow storms. Mom used to have to come and wake me up in a full winter jacket as my room was so cold. I never wore sweaters till my late twenties so wore T'shirts on the coldest of days during winter which would make people give me an odd look, but i think i was just acclimatized to the cold and it didn't effect me as much as others. Now i do wear sweaters/ponchos and feel the cold a little more, but still like the optimal temp of about 18c :)

When it's cold outside I'm sweating and when it's hot I have goose bumps. The worst season for me is spring because I cannot regulate my temperature. I get hot and cold at the same time so I put on a sweatshirt, to stay cool because I have goose bumps, and sit under a fan, to warm up because I'm sweating. So I put on clothes to warm up, because I'm cool and sweating and carry a portable fan with me to even out the difference. Ya, y'all read that right. It's the same thing over and over all day and night. It's horrible and I cry because people think I'm loosing it and tell me I'm crazy. My doctor looks at me like I have green polka dots and purple, cable knit stripes.

Hugely sensitive to cold. I dread the 2 minute gap every morning between a shower/drying/dressing - it's 9.20pm and I'm already not looking foward to it tomorrow. I've heard people say 'you can put on more layers and warm up' but I find it doesn't work! It's like I'm cold to my bones and layers do nothing to protect me - it makes me pretty irritable too. I've even had my thyroid gland checked twice (if it's not working correctly it can change the way your body regulates temprature) but it's fine, iron count is good too. I don't eat icecream or iceblocks cause they're too cold in my tummy! :( In the winter I sleep with gloves on or else I wake up during the night. I can relate to not wanting the windows open - if I do on a semi-warm day I'll fill up a hot water bottle and sit with that. Funny how it seems to be either/or for folks eh.

I don't have a problem with temperature changes.
