I can relate to these two! For me it's generally +1 night clothes though. I trade both tabletop gaming and model railway gear periodically so it's always handy to have a range of spare boxes if I need to ship something.

Looks like a few people Me-ow , I don't automatically me-ow but if I hear a "Me-ow" ( even on tv ) or any other cute animal noise I am compelled to replicate it - from what I have read this appears to be a form of echolalia but Im not an Dr so I may just have a Dr Doolittle complex lol

I have several notable quirks, but probably the quirkiest is my habit of lecturing (out loud) to a non-existent audience about some topic of interest. I'll often imagine I'm talking to someone from a past era, trying to explain some technical development in terms that they might be able to understand. Automobiles as horseless carriages, propelled by burning fuel, etc. I almost always engage in this quirk while driving alone (naturally).

Sometimes my "lectures" are just a way, I think, of making sense of something I've been pondering. It may also be a way for me to turn thinking in images into actual words.

I know it's pretty common, but probably my literal thinking. People seem to think it's charming and endearing, so I make people laugh a lot. I don't mind too much. I only really got offended when someone not close to me told me it's a good thing I'm not a blonde.

I guess the embarrassing quirk is how I smell my food before every bite or meow at random times.

I often look at the blank spaces in between lines of text.

For the longest time, I thought that's what they meant by "reading between the lines", and now it's become a habit.

I do this as well but it started after I took a Graphic Design class in college. During a session about newspaper layouts there was a topic of 'white space' and since then I've paid way too much attention to the spaces between text lines, letter spacing, margins, fonts, borders, etc. It bugs me so much when white space is slightly off, for example if one margin is 1.0" and the opposite side is 0.9".

I usually dive for the mute control as soon as an introductory jingle starts to play.
I also empathize with the dead animals I see people eating, because I can sometimes hear cattle protesting the price of grass in the local auction yard, and feel about as well understood. Bovine is a very simple tonal language, but all these cowboys choose not to learn it.

i do this too, but i never speak it out loud. often i imagine a conversation with my father, in which i explain the mechanics or the plot/lore of a videogame i'm into at the moment, or i try to rationalize and put words to my thoughts over and over again in my mind...as if i was going to post it here.

today i caught myself imagining how to explain shifting a manual to someone.

i've...never driven a manual car before. but i really want to.

Moving repeatedly, CONSTANTLY! I have never known why but I'm terrible when it comes to removing anxiety, so I just spin or something idiotic like that haha.

I have an urge to touch and smell things so that I have a better connection with them. If I get letters through the post for example I kind of feel that I would love to pick them up off the floor and see what they smell like.

i can't tell if i like newsprint or textbooks better.

I've got a few quirks. I get fooled really easily. I believe everything everybody says. I can't tell if a person's joking about something unless they say so. I can't stand having pruny hands when I'm in the water for a while. The texture drives me crazy. And, I don't like stepping in something sticky and then having the bottom of my shoes sticky. I'm ok with looking people in the eye when they're talking to me, just not when I'm talking to them. I have a big problem with things not going the way I want them to or if I have to change my routine or environment. If I get out of my comfort zone, I throw a fit. I hate it when there's change of plans. Lastly, my pet peave is windshield wipers going on a dry windshield. Ok, that's all I got.

Sometimes I catch myself 'purring'...

One of them is balancing - on anything - heels, when standing, sitting on an arm of a sofa and balancing on it, on a chair (back legs, I look like I'm going to slide off and fall and people hate it). All sorts of fidgety movements that make me keep balance/get out of balance/back again. When I catch myself doing that I stop, but when I'm excited - bam, I just find some edge, sit on it and do my balancing while talking and talking and talking
(I'm moving on my swivel chair side to side when I'm writing just now - feels good)
