I actually love it here, to be honest. I've made some friends and I like being able to talk in a place where I know I won't be judged.

It gives me more insight on different situations and I feel like I can relate to a lot of the people on here.

Because unlike most of the internet there are a lot older people that post regularly. People like me that went undiagnosed for most of our lives, people who have never received services and probably never will.

Do not take the above the wrong way. WP has very caring and bright young people whose very different experiences and world view teach me things.

It's a heck of a lot better than going on some idiot site like 4chan.

My main broswer I use is Safari on my phone. And it works fine besides pop ups that say you $1000 Amazon Gift Card or a iPhone 7 Plus.

are you talking about interstitials?

Yes this is what has been popping on my phone as well...both the amazon one and one for Wal Mart. I use an iPhone 7+ with a Safari browser. I have not seen these types of ads pop up on my MacBook Pro using Safari as well.

Thank you for reaching out an letting us know that there is work being done to rectify the problem. It helps lower the frustration level. Kind Regards. Shark

I've mentioned the phone pop-ups on another thread, I think it's to do with the ad servers. The problem with ad servers is you don't control what adds are put on your site and I think they serve some adds to phones only. I try not to look on my phone as I get pop-ups warning the FBI is watching, things that take control over the whole browser saying I have a virus, "click here" to clear it etc meaning I have to shut the whole browser down.

Right now, the problem is all the spam, which is worse than any other forum I'm on.

As far as popups are concerned, are you sure your computer isn't infected with malware or something? The site doesn't serve popups.

I've done a complete erase and install of both my iPhone and iPad, and still have the same issues with pop ups, no matter if I'm using Safari, Firefox or Chrome. I've used several ad blocker apps on both devices, with the same result.

Yep, I just find it funny he blames the user and then a few posts later admits he allows the ads.

All I want is just getting rid of the spam.
Hey admin do something to limit number of threads started by new accounts. This seems to be the only way to get rid of them.

I am thinking it's going to take a major software overhaul on the forum, it's really dated... But I also think a moderation audit/makeover will help for now and into the future.

This is my online home. When I need to feel grounded or just acknowledged, I come here.

It's the only internet forum I've ever found, where I feel like I'm 'with my own kind' as opposed to feeling so fundamentally different from everyone else that we have absolutely nothing at all in common.

I don't feel one bit accepted here, and am utterly tired of the policing that goes on, with random members trying to un-diagnose other people over the internet, but I definitely relate to the older members, who know what it's like to live in a world where we're blamed for our failings, and help is nonexistent.

I doubt that a boycott will result in the site getting fixed. Alex doesn't seem to much care whether we use his site or not; he hardly ever posts here himself it seems.
