HECK, have you ever really dealt with NTs? You can literally LOOK THEM SQUARE in the eyes, and tell the truth and have them think you are lying, or lie and have them think you are telling the truth! "lie detectors" were "created" to copy that "ability", and are used ONLY to assuage doubt and force action.

Luckily, the courts recognize they are no good, and don't allow them as evidence. Heck, colds, maladies, nervousness, pain, discomfort are PROVEN to cause things the "lie detectors" will pick up. That is a FACT! Some can lie with NO fear, which is a FACT! So who could trust that you will have so much comfort, and guilt, that the machine is infallible?

And the machines are better than people!

Heck, a police officer once thought I was guilty, and DRUNK! I was simply tired, and nervous at being stopped. I was sober, and innocent.

My skin conductance changes every time I move voluntarily. No way on earth would I do a lie detector test.

And on the thread topic I don't want my autism reversed and I don't even know what that means. Reverse what?

I don't understand that either. I don't see why they use the word 'reverse' when AS isn't something you develop or grow into. It's just who you are. Therefore nothing would be being reversed, just moved completely. Although I don't know if 'reverse' was a car analogy or not. Maybe I'm misinterpreting it.

If there were a way to make me more comfortable in this world, I would take it. I like intelligence, logic, self-sufficiency, ability to analyze, etc., but I could do without the face blindness, hypertactility, inability to cope with dirty hands, inability to catch social cues, depression, clumsiness. I would also grab a cure for my deafness and tiny number short term memory and lack of propriaceptive memory and overweight and slight obsessiveness and tendency to autoimmune diseases. On the other hand, I don't ever ever want to be someone who reads People Magazine. Gossip! Bleah!

each time I try to converse
wanting to fly when around people
‘cause it hurts too much being around people
IS palpable
wanting to die due never touching another
‘cause it hurts too much just looking at another
IS tangible
it’s just social retardation
reverse that and I’m not flying or dying anymore
